A-Grade Weapon OverEnchant Bug

Hello everyone !

My friend @Sensei told me that the weapons A grade were giving more p.atack than B. Then I show him how image.png.c8f880649970d6d2765be8bfd1140620.pngBOP+5 and image.png.767e7aea5bfc74ff56a583536ef9b20b.png Carnage +2, two weapons with same p.attack, give the same amount of P.atack to the char.

After, he demonstrate me how a image.png.767e7aea5bfc74ff56a583536ef9b20b.png   Carnage +10 was giving more p.atack to the character than a image.png.c8f880649970d6d2765be8bfd1140620.pngBOP +14 which must be false because the p.atack of the weapon image.png.c8f880649970d6d2765be8bfd1140620.png BOP +14 is greater. Then I made my own experiment:

So I tried many bows and I did the following table:

- The p.atack of all the weapons grow on the same rate. (+8 p.atack on safe enchant and +16 p.atack on overenchant).

- The bonus on the image.png.c8f880649970d6d2765be8bfd1140620.png BOP is as intended, giving char p.atack on the enchants on +4 and above.

- The image.png.767e7aea5bfc74ff56a583536ef9b20b.png Carnage bow, when it is enchanted by +4 or more, is increasing the char P.atack by more than intended. Every enchant is giving 95 p.atack to the char when it is supposed to give 63 like the image.png.c8f880649970d6d2765be8bfd1140620.png BOP. Every enchant gives the same amount of p.atack to the weapon and so to the char.

- So a image.png.767e7aea5bfc74ff56a583536ef9b20b.png Carnage +10 now is giving same stats than a image.png.c8f880649970d6d2765be8bfd1140620.png BOP +16 when it should give less p.atack than a image.png.c8f880649970d6d2765be8bfd1140620.png BOP+13

- That means that for every +2 OE on your image.png.767e7aea5bfc74ff56a583536ef9b20b.png Carnage bow is like you make a +3 on your image.png.c8f880649970d6d2765be8bfd1140620.png BOP.

Conclusions

A-grade over-enchanted weapons are giving more stats to the characters than intended.

How come is a bug If all weapons here gives fixed enchant value? And on every grade of enchant scroll description is the same? :)  Wow if not your post we all players might never found this bug although server is going not 1 year...

A grade bonus doen't exist in Classic; and this is a classic server. The bonuses is a normal l2 server feature, where A grade scroll provvide a bigger bonus that B grade ones

If those number are true A grade OE atm gives more power than intented for a l2 classic server.

Nice test 👍 imo try to remove epics and dyes so see if it changes anything in terms of % difference between same pattack weapons

Epics doesnt affect. What you need to check is that every +1 of over enchant has to give double p.atack than every +1 on safe enchant. In this case is giving x3 that amount so that its wrong. 

Also weapons with same p.atack must give same p.atack to the character. (Always if they are of the same type, because a char can have masteries for blunt and not for dagger/fists).

about this i wouldnt be so sure if there werent some shinenigans which had some weird values when compared TOP grade weapon vs LOW grade weapon of higher grade, eventho the weapons had same p/m atk

If does not work like this its bugged. The p.atack of the weapon and the type is what tells you how strong it is. It has no sense than a katana and a samurai long sword have same p.atack but the samurai gives more stats to the char. If so, the p.atack of a weapon would be a joke to lie on begginers.

i said top grade vs low grade of higher rank, i am not 100% sure and i am lazy to log on test server, but i have in my memory this kind of discussion from past (i dont remember result, if it was giving different amount or not)

for example you compare crystal dagger and kris, even if the weapon has same p atk on gun, i think it might give different amount in stats (not sure at all about this, maybe i am fully wrong)

AFAIK there should be grade difference between weaps even on same weapon p.att

False.

P. atk doesnt have anything to do with if weapon is "same grade or not" nor if its "top" or mid nor low tier. Same weapon p.atk = same p. atk in status, thats the rule for d, c and b grade weapons.

Its not the first time there is a wrong bonus after +4 for weapons (case of b grade before zaken)

pd pd: this is true even when comparing apples to oranges (weapons of different type<fist/bow>, grade<d/b>, tier<mid/top> and enchant<+8vs+0)

the a grade weapons reported here is bug for sure, no doubt about it, about this low/high tier of weapons, as i said, i dont remember it well, maybe it was bugged like this in past but got fixed, or never was bugged, idk, i just remember some discussion about it was going on in this forum (if i remember correctly it was something like this topic but was about fists? like comparing pata and antro nail or something) ;)
