Overlord/Dominator Advices on Build (patch 2.5)

Hi all!

Im currently playing a Dominator and i need some advices about it..  Gear / armor / weapons , Dyes  and runes for pvp.

Right now i have a tallum robe set , a Staff of evil spirit with a yul Rune (thought that speed would be important but i dont know) , could you give me some advices on what to wear or if im doing right.

You mean tallum unsealed? And what lvl are you?

Yes of course , im lvl 76 ..  my doubt about the armor was if i should use robe or light and if tallum is the correct set.

Somehow i doubt that you play on our server. Cant imagine guy who doesnt know what items to use on his char, having unsealed A set :D

DC Roba set or MJ roba set
Weapon:
spiritual Staff or better.
Mb one hand blunt
+Shield

ISS 13 level

dyes can be:
+12 wit (for olympiad is very good)  or +8wit +4 con

It all depends on the style of play for this class. Depends what you want =)

.... Unseald A it's pointless.

On this server, at least you can't afford to drop lots of Adena on OEing, Cloth and A-Gem, it's pointless to rush A gear at all. You realize that after 1 week; so i can't get why you rushed tallum robe.

As for gear it all depends on your objective:

PVP: ROBE + 1h Sword or Blunt + ISS rune for Cast ( you want to cast your buff and debuff as fast as possible and you can archive that only with a robe set. Since you can augment the weap as you like in classic you can go for a generic warrior blunt/sword, also you don't really need M.Atk since your main role is to Buff, Heal and Debuff and this will drain all your mana. You will also want a low lvl weap with Yul for speed, but not as main one )

PVE: LGH>Heavy + 1h Sword or Blunt + Othell for DMG ( OL drain a lot of mana and it's better to focus on P.Dmg and occasionally cast buff, heal and debuf. You can't be the only supporter of the PT and P.Dmg with othell provvide a solid and costant source of dmg. Since you will stay close to the monsters, in order to deal dmg, a LGH or HVY is needed and the first gives better bonuses than the second that, on non classic l2 at least, was used mainly for solo or small party exp. )

Blunts are cheaper than swords so i would focus on that direction, and you need them just to access the Power Break skill that has a decent landrate.

Bear in mind that these are personal opinion

because speed is always an answer :d i remember we played with speed rune on ghoul staff on mine+rizos sorcerer on official :D

M. Def. +8%

INT -2, WIT +2, Casting Spd. +15%

MJ set roba:

MP Recovery Bonus +8%

MEN +1, INT -1, Max MP +240

Casting Spd. +15%, Stun Resistance +50%

-----------------------------------------------------------------------------------

DC set roba:

Slightly decreases magic cancellation damage, Speed +7

Paralysis Resistance +50%, P. Def. +8%

WIT +2, MEN -2, Casting Spd. +15%

-------------------------------------------------------------------------

It all depends on your style of play.

always chose DC robe set or MJ Robe set.

There's nothing fundamentally wrong with tlm robe set, if you already have one (unsealed), I wouldn't stress it and focus on other areas... Of course MJ robe set would've been cool and I'd pick DC robe set over tlm as well, but if I already had tallum unsealed, don't worry about it, it's alright.
