What's the cause of server being offline?

Mostly just curious, it's been twice in a row now, mostly during normal times when someone in Russia might be sleeping. Is it offline because its crashing and simply no one's awake to turn it back on?

althou, would be better if they could at least make an automated announcement for downtime incoming with 5 minutes notice.

getting disconnected while doing stuff without any kind of notice is not rly nice.
