Magic crit rates

Since this is based of GoD files, I've been seeing critics on my dots as we as my dot heals. Does this mean that mages are monsters due to their abilities to self crit heal and do massive dmg with their spells?

just trying to figure if I should role a nuker lol.

A magic critical does double damage/heal, that's it.

right, but it seems that the magic crit rates are higher. so that would give mage classes a nice boost in this version. wondered if anyone else seemed to notice this.
