Quest Hunt for the black lion

Quest mobs dont drop cargo boxes, is that normal? I killed about 1k mobs and didnt get a single cargo box...not sure if the quest actually is supposed to be like that in classic...any info?

i just checked the quest description and dont see any item like this.
