If I was top clan leader and bought 4 clan halls at the beginning I would invite boxes - buffers, rechargers and other shit in those clans or I could just rotate one cp in those clans - 1 day in clan X1, 1 day clan X2... then back to main clan, repeat after month. In the end it would be just admins' decision which would lead to some big dramas and clans leaving server.

Then that's an active clan... A clan with buffers, rechargers, etc is fine if they are logging in and doing stuff.

If the clan is active enough to rotate entire CPs through a clan and back to the main clan, then they are most certainly active enough to keep their CH. They shouldn't lose it.

I am talking about when a Clan totally quits and becomes inactive (or has like 1 guy log in, add adena to CWH, afk for a bit then log out).

If the GM puts an inactive clan up for auction, who will really care but those inactive players? Having inactive players who don't even play the game bitch and moan about GM Decisions is still much more preferable to....

    1) Mid-Tier clans being dissuaded from joining in on End-Game PvP
    2) Mass PvP being limited on a month where a top-tier clan gets overbidded or leader forgets to bid or some shit.
    3) Having to place a down-to-the-last-minute bid every month that greatly impacts your clan

Find a solution to those three problems and I'll hop on the Monthly Clan Hall Bidding wagon

Without the biddable CH every month, what's stopping the top 10 clans to just put adena on alt clans and bid for 4+ CHs at the server beginning?

This no biddable system really promotes hard core clans while punishing casual/mid-tier clans.

If those clans go inactive, the GMs should put the CH up for auction.

Inactivity could be a combination of rules base ("X characters logging in each month") as well as GM subjectivity (are they just standing AFK in CH to look active?)

I mean, you'd wish they spend them on CHs and not something that would actually benefit them and hard snowball their lead. That's one of the big points of this system. It gives clans a consistent adena sink so they don't stack too many adena.

Also, this is not interlude, adena are much harder to farm, because spots are limited so you have to fight for almost everything, plus you can't make gigantic destro pulls.

Denying your enemies and anyone who might stick their heads out a CH is a pretty huge way to gain an advantage in PvP.

What happens if a top-tier clan just wants to fuck with a mid-tier clan for some reason and out-bid wherever they bid. That mid-tier clan is out of  CH for a month? I could see that implicitly dissuading mid-tier clans from joining pvp. "Why should we stick out heads up and try to ninja an AQ if it means we won't have a CH next month?"

The alternative of having the GMs monitoring clan activity and putting inactive CHs up for auction every so often is a much better way to do things imo.

First of all, this is completely pointless in 1.5. And secondly, "hard core clans" have way better things to sink their adena in, rather than denying CHs to random clans they don't care about. You're speaking as if these clans will have billions to spare for such insignificant stuff.

Sure, not at first... But 6 months into the server? 12 months into the server? Especially once 2.0 comes, Adena gets much easier to get in end game content.

Also, they wouldn't need billions of adena, they'd just need more than casual clans.

"denying CHs to random clans they don't care about"

I think you greatly underestimate the toxicity of the L2 community 🤣

Ooooooor, just fucking remove xp scrolls 🙂 like most of us are asking. Just my humble opinion.

That would help solve the power-leveling component or logging in and out to save scrolls.

However even still with no exp scrolls, Raid Exp is so good in Classic that it discourages open-field leveling... Why spend 6 buff rounds grinding in an open field/dungeon when you can just spend half that time finding a raidboss or two that are up and kill them for way more exp.

Not to mention, when the server first launches, the group or two that kill raid bosses all the way up will quickly level up and be far ahead of everyone in terms of exp. So Day 1 or 2, you'll have most of the server lvl 30 or so, and then 1 or 2 CPs that are already 5x.

  6. What made old school Lineage 2 so great was that you'd find people in the field often and at all times of day. One of the areas classic failed is that Raid Boss Exp was so good, it became the best way to exp or power lvl a character up (especially if you could stack a 6 different Exp Boost Items, and log-in/out right before death). This really ruined a major part of Lineage 2 as less people grinded in the Open World and would just wait to get a good Boss spawn or two.

What I suggest is a near-complete overhaul for Raids in Dion x3... Make them desirable not because of their exp, but because of their drops.

    Set Raidboss XP/SP to 0.1x
Set Raidboss Drop Chance to 3x (or even 4x/5x)
Set Raidboss Drop Amount to 1x
If there is a way to do this, significantly lower Death Penalty at or around a raidboss. If not, just lower death penalty in general.

On Reborn and other non-classic servers, top clans will fight hard for Epics; but even lower bosses like Galaxia/Golkonda/Naga/Shax many clans (including Mid-Tier clans) will fight over them. Sometimes multiple rounds of PvP too to try to stop and re-take control of those bosses. Some of those best fights are crazy 9v9v9v9s over a random boss like Death Lord Shax.

I belive if rates are decressed, the server longevity is automaticly incressed with it, and while you can say that its "too hardcore" the strix / achivment stuff will help alot with easing this pain tbh. Lets say we instead do x2 rates (perferably I would even say x1), with the current bonus with runes and stuff, it will still be pretty good for "casual" and more relaxed type of people, while making it slower and simply incressing the lifespan of the server

Also the argument against it I see often is that when people die, they log out cause they lose alot of XP and with lower rates, ppl will die 1 time and log out to wait BRES in next day.
Woudnt it be a smart idea to perhaps change how this system works? For example lower the amount of XP you lose if you die to a wartag (lets say you will lose 2% at level 76+ and if you click "to CH", you recover 50% of this XP so technacly you lose only 1%)
. With this, you will give more incentives to having wars up, more incentives to die fighting (lets say if you get PK you lose 4%, if you die to normal flag you lose only 3%) and just automatly incress the life span of the server

About boxing, I would love if server was true 1 box, but I can get behind 1+1 for people that just want to play classic by themselves and relax. What I cannot support is people having access to more PCs and beeing able to log as many chars as they want, that will just completly murder 80% of active supports and just push people towards full solo play so they can hoard all resources and rewards to themselves, killing the sense of comunity that parting with others brings.
I think if we wont reduce it to true 1 box, at less we shouldnt allow more then 1+1 per IP, with a special case beeing applied to people that share house with family / friends / pets that also wish to play the server

A true 1 box system could only work if you prevent people from re-logging...

Like maybe can only log in 1 account per IP per 30 minutes. That way you can't relog a PP/SWS/Bd.

I agree x1 rates with a lower death penalty (especially in pvp/clan war) is much more preferable than x3 with a huge death penalty.

    I think we should do...

    - 2 Accounts per IP

    - Lower exp rates to x2 or x1

    - Lower Death Penalty (significantly lower in case of Clan War)

    - Lower Raid Boss Exp, increase Raid Boss Drops (make them pvp objectives for Gear rather than methods to plvl someone)

If we do all that, we have a pretty good long term server that encourages open world pvp

  8. 1) This is a terrible idea imo. perhaps the worse idea I've seen in a long time for server. 1-month long Clan Halls is a dumb idea, when there is a simple solution... If a clan becomes inactive for an extended period of time, the Admins can just manually put it up for auction; many servers do this and it works just fine.

    2) There are pros and cons to allowing or disallowing dual-boxes. However, in the long-run people can still get around a no dual-box server by just relogging the buffers they need... at that point is there really a difference? Maybe start off with no dual-boxes allowed, but a year into the server allow it?

    3) I'd prefer the GMs just look to change other aspects that speed the game up (Such as removing the daily quest exp rewards, nerfing boss exp, etc, etc)

  9. about mizuno - all chars known to belong to this person are banned permanently aswell as his hwid. he had more chances then most of the players and didnt seem to help him redeem himself.

about waterworks - his hwid is banned. About this account ban its all explained on the tickets.

Why HWID ban them and not just a regular ban? Why stop the players and their friends from still playing here? Why not just delete the RMTed items and gear?

For RMT, it doesn't really make sense to Hardware ID ban someone. I feel like that should be for someone actively trying to DDoS the server or hack accounts.

  10. Hey everyone,

I just started here recently and am looking for an English-speaking CP. Currently I am a Rogue going Hawk eye, but am more than willing to class change to a Warlord or Gladiator for a CP. If any english CPs are out there and looking for a new and active player. Let me know :)

I'm a very veteran player from Skelth, Shilen, Chronos. Lots of PvP videos, interviews, etc, etc :)

    -Gabe

  11. Yeah it seems like a bad move to ban the only two English speaking clan leaders on the server? It effectively killing the Western Euro and NA communities on the server. Leaving Eastern Europe, and South American players :(

Why not just have the RMTed adena/items deleted and make the clan leaders pay a fine? De-incentivize RMTing and it'll stop

  12. Hey everyone!

Gabe/Gabriel/Eruadan here! Just started playing, I think quite a few of you know me from Skelth, Shilen, or Chronos. :) Looking forward to playing here. I just started yesterday. If you see me in game, feel free to say hi; hopefully I catch up to all you in levels soon :)

What are the best "underdog clans" on the server? What's the server's political situation?
