Overlord buff?

so far as i can see, overlord can give buffs to anyone in party, not just for clannie, is this a bug or some kind of big change which i dont know ? in offcial run what would it be ? will i be able to give buffs to pt members ?

yep this is the big change of classic, so that ol is more useful in random party
