I played here for kinda long time some years ago, some old dogs may still remember me I guess Recently I felt nostalgic so I decided to check how this server looks like....And I was left surprised to say the least.. When I was quitting (taking a break or w/e) I changed my passes on my mains... so NOONE had access to it...I simply knew if I feel to come back this server will still be around in good shape.... Tho I didnt realize I made a crucial mistake not to change pass on my core/orfen necro... that toon was accessible to several ppl who were logging it if ally needed back in the day... So when I logged in y-day I was speechless... my mains naked... I was wondering how that could had happened so I checked my master account... In data mining informations accessible by mere mortals without admins rights I figured what happened... Someone from my old crew logged into master account via that necro keys... since he wasnt able to steal equip from toons protected by new passwords (and could be recovered only on my MA e-mail) he decided to put everything there into auction... Than had the audacity to deal with staff via tickets on behalf of me and pay for several name and class changes from my money... Im not blaming anyone from staff for my mistake of not changing EVERY pass but I have some suggestions which can help prevent this situation to happen to anyone else in the future...and trust me..my desire to start here all over again is...well not that big...Anw, here are some suggestions... 1) Ability to deal with stuff something to do with real money (auctions, donate, tickets for class changing etc) only after loging into master account via master account/pwd. 2) If you log into your master account via keys for one account you can operate such stuff only in that one specific account... f/e in my case that would mean that scammer would be able to access that necro toon so I would lose some C grade stuff... but couldnt put my +++ items from main into auction 3) send automatic e-mail into adress where MA is created when putting some stuff in auction etc... that way even if you are dormant for time being you can be automaticaly informed of some suspicious activity considering your account 4) other suggestions feel free to express here. P.S. Its not supposed to be crytopic... as I wrote earlier I know I made a mistake... big one... also I dont think that creating some ticket would help now.....this "scam" happened from february till april 21 and I dont think a) admins have backups such long time back and b) have will to try to deal with it (my mistake after all)... I lost doom +6 set, some ++ jewels,+++aoba, c.maingachue +13....several good runes (sigels 13, othels 8/6 etc etc)... not end game top items nowdays I guess but it still hurts... not that much as when Pipiska scammed our whole CPs epics back in the day for sure... P.P.S. If anyone knows / remembers char names GreenH0rn, Goracios, ooq, Maleteme ... let me know... those are nicks of the one who did it... found some of them on ban list (as well as my necro btw) ... but still I would love to know who played those toons or if he is still plaing on some other car nowdays... just to know who was the rat... Cheers! Hello. Unfortunately I don't think we will be able to return items, but we will be able to ban scammer and accounts that used services.
