mails are connected to the master account on site and not to game account, so the only thing it could help your situation would prolly be create a new master account on the new mail and change the character from the existing account to the newly created account on the new  email.

​If I were you, I would track this person account incase hes trying to sell his character. Only reason to change an email after such a long time is if you try to sell it but dont want to sell your main email with it ahah
