  1. How active is the clan? I'm interested in returning to L2C. I was one of the first Elven Oracles to hit 35+ but got tired of having to solo so moved on at 38. I'd love to return and play an EE main but being in an active clan would be a must. I was sitting for 6h+ waiting on parties the last time I was on. Well you are at a good level right now for our average. Not sure what our activity is around this time, but we have 3 clans in the allu,2/3 is full. We have at least 16 members on around the clock., although that is counting /allystats (so it could be afk shops). We have a wide range of levels, from 20-high 60's. Some fast levelers, some casual levelers. Okay, downloading the latest client and I'll give it a go, :). Who should I contact in-game?

  3. Just pk them and watch them cry. You do realize he mentioned that he's an EE,,, Bruh, EEs are people too, :(. We can PK. It just doesn't do anything to solve the problem. Most people in the server love when someone PKs them because they have a chance at free drops without even having to farm anything.
  4. This is a known bug. Colors don't always change. As soon as you buff someone that has a red name but no karma, it will return to normal again. Protip: if you have to hold ctrl to attack someone, they're not red (I thought this was a given but a lot of players still don't understand how PvP works in L2 yet).
  5. Well, they say they care about bots, but do they really? Lots of people from guilds have been caught botting already and they are still in the game because they can donate to get unbanned. Actions speak louder than words. If you pay attention to economics, this setup makes sense: if they ban bots that people actually care about (main characters), the server makes money when they're unbanned. It's widely theorized/known that it's not a hatred of bots that drives the bans, but rather the ability to use it as a revenue stream. Otherwise they'd permaban these people instead of acting like people don't know botting is against the rules. Retail was the same way when it was subscription-based/paid. Bots were banned when they had made farmers enough money to make it worth restarting. This way the server could ban them, they'd buy another CD key/subscription, and this would rinse and repeat for infinity, bringing a steady stream of income that otherwise wouldn't be there.
  6. Just pk them and watch them cry. The irony is you get more bot reports against you when you PK someone than you do when you actually bot. It doesn't solve the problem of this bot reporting being a new form of griefing one another. It's akin to when some games used to mute/temporarily ban players with x reports against them. Guilds would band together to all mass report people they didn't like as a bot so they'd get flagged/muted/temporarily banned from the games. The only way to fight this is for the admins to step in and do something. These players are toxic to the community, hold back real progression from the server's staff, and are allowing their greed and misanthropy to push them to cowardice levels.
  7. Level cap is 65. B grade is top gear. B duals can not be obtained with patch 1.0. cap is 70 since highest mob is 60 and u dont get exp from mobs that are 11 lvl under ur lvl... Interesting. I thought it was ~70 but everyone kept saying 65. Like an abnormal number of players have made that claim, so I figured it was an official cap. I guess they're basing it on the color of the mobs then (66 would make the 60's blue).
  8. Level cap is 65. B grade is top gear. B duals can not be obtained with patch 1.0.
  9. If it's not the proxy, then how come it only affects certain people, and is almost always people on the same proxy?
  10. Seriously, learn what is and isn't a bot. I was going around WWing people around me at DV today and had multiple people claim they're reporting me for being a bot now because apparently that's what bots do now -- give everyone buffs. Then I'm in a duo with a dwarf, helping kill, and yet again, I'm now a "bot" because I'm duoing and it's with a dwarf. Then I'm trioing with an orc and a tank. Magically it's a bot train because none of us are adventurers. What's with people in this game and assuming every single support has to be a bot and anyone that happens to be leveling with someone else is also a bot? Guess what? Support is just that -- support. They're not made to solo. Especially an EE. Actually healed a guy that was being raped by mobs earlier and found out he was training me because I'm a bot and would heal randoms that have low HP (so he was hoping I'd heal him to pull his train and die). This is getting fucking stupid. So from now on, fuck people. I buff and heal only my party. I will not allow anyone to buy buffs. I won't help anyone. I will not respond to anyone unless it's regarding a party. Fuck off. Party or nothing. End of story. Signed, -- The Overly Helpful Buff Bot, Raleign P.S.: Reporting people as bots is the new form of griefing. It's happening all the time in PvP -- as soon as someone flags and dies, they report the other person/party as bots in the hopes that they get banned. This bullshit is keeping the real bots from being banned because you're wasting the staff's time on frivolous reports. I think if someone misreports 3 or more bots, THEY should be banned to stop this griefing shit from happening. As it is, there's no punishments so you can freely go get every account flagged for review just for lulz. I've even had people ask me for buffs when I was low MP, and when I said I couldn't due to low MP they threaten to report me as a bot if I don't.
  11. I run into proxy issues all the time on all 5 of the options so I often have to relog on a different one. It's random, too. I can be in a great state for hours with no problems and as soon as I try to heal it screws me. Or have agro on me and it does it and gets me killed. Others I will have to log 2-3 different proxies in a row before one finally works.
  12. Can't even party with random people anymore because most of them are joining parties and then botting and you'll get banned with them. And most clans are the same way. So it's getting to where you either solo 24/7 or you risk being banned because of all the others botting. It's ridiculous. They HAVE to either do something more drastic or just watch the server turn into retail. People justify botting with the "so what if the train's banned? I'll have made some adena and I'll just create a new train, wash and repeat." Some are even trading full scripts now for leveling and such so that you literally just make account -> create character -> click start and let the bots automatically level, hunt and farm, and then you take their adena/drops every day or whatever you feel is best. Once they get banned, you spend another 5 minutes creating new accounts and characters and do it again. And again. And again. There are players with 10m+ adena that have admitted this is how they're getting so much.
  13. That's true, people from USA cannot play Innova's Classic Server. You "can," but I personally won't. If a company doesn't want my money, that's enough for me to not go out of my way to give it to them.
  14. This isn't new to me, really. I knew someone in C3->C4 that was paying $10k/month for adena on retail. He even splurged another $50k+ to buy a Giran clan hall. But his salary (he owned a construction business) was ~$3.5m/year so he said it really wasn't much considering. He used to buy all sorts of random people adena just for grouping with him, lol.
  15. with the power of newer processors most people can run many Windows on one pc switching back and forth with ease. Back in the day you needed more pcs since the processing power wasn't there. I still don't understand these rules though they're so vague. On the rules list it mentions third party programs and nothing about dual boxing. But here in the forums everytime someone brings up premium account they say something about allowing boxes....i don't get it. Maybe its just me??? Huh? Even back in Prelude (beginning of L2) I was 4-boxing on retail with no problem. Later on I ended up 11-boxing but that's a different story.
  16. Uh, that's what I said. So if I use 3 PCs I'm allowed to personally use 3 accounts at once without premium or 6 with.
  17. Wait, this means you can legitimately box more accounts without premium if you're using multiple PCs?
  18. I'm a little confused because everyone and their mother in the game pretty much has a dualbox (one person is four-boxing, but we'll ignore that for now). According to many players, premium has nothing to do with being able to dualbox and simply means you get BONUSES on multiple accounts instead of just one. Is this correct? If not, there is a LOT of misinformation in the game and elsewhere floating around. As it is, there are very few groups because if you look around, pretty much everyone has a DPS with a heal/buffbox following behind them. Or in the case of some groups, 3-4 DPS that each have a box (WC/PP/SE/EE, for one I saw). I thought premium was supposed to be what determines if you can dualbox, such that the goal was to promote grouping and push players away from just boxing a party.
  19. Hey DeMordey, long time no see Any chance you still have your sieghardt movies? I think I got most of them, but it would be nice to fill the holes in my collection. Hey there, unfortunately all of the movies were uploaded on this sharing portal which I don't even remember anymore and the files on my HDD got erased quite long while ago. If you can somehow send me the movies it would be great and I would upload the, to my YouTube account. Was the portal you're thinking of FileFront? In 2004-2005, that was the go-to place for videos. No longer exists for any videos that were hosted there, but boy, that brings back memories, :p. Wish I could find the one of the first ever Aden siege on Hindemith (it was done by the alliance "MAFIA," and was done on the alliance leader's birthday as a birthday present, with well over 500 players taking part).
  20. Hindemith here. I was pretty infamous back then... not 100% sure if I'll continue the legacy or not. Here's a thread from 2006 with a lot of references to me: http://boards.lineage2.com/showthread.php?t=143541 By far, though, my favorite post was this one: http://boards.lineage2.com/showpost.php?p=1952983&postcount=11 That brings back so many memories... and FWIW, Dion/Gludin were the fun areas because high levels would come there to protect n00bs and they'd all get raped, :p. Past that, I did a crapload of griefing in LoA, ToI and high-level catas, but generally only when provoked. Anyone who played on Hindemith anytime from 2004->2008 will know me for sure. I was actually banned in 2006 for reporting an exploit to NCSoft that allowed you to duplicate your character. To fix the dupes, they had to do a reboot of the server, and I was promptly banned for "hacking the database." FWIW, today, 9 years later, the SAME exploit is still possible. They still haven't fixed it. Anyways, little off-topic. Hope the server comes up soon so I can set my legacy (positive or negative) here!

This. You just don't even register an account if you aren't 100% interested in the L2 Classic project. I'd like to see all those people who say they're going to leave because we don't get enough upvotes going to Innova to pay monthly fees or that russian project where you can't even find a party because nobody speaks english You can't lump all players into one group. There are tons of us that are here because there ISN'T an official server for L2C yet (and still might never be). A lot of us don't care about the cost -- we care about the lack of alternatives. When choosing between official and private, on the same level, it's official every time for me. That said, we still don't know if the EU server is coming (as they don't either), and how it's going to be run. The reason I like L2C is because it returns L2 back to how it SHOULD have been, before everything was watered down. I'd gladly play a private server that keeps to the game's roots, over going retail and following the same destructive path L2 has been on. But that has nothing to do with paying -- it's the experience. judging by the last answers from the CMs, it's probably going to be released in autumn, but with a P2P model and crippled rates, the servers will just end up like RU/KR after the first months. Innova has still the chance to fix their product during summer by taking compromises with NCSoft about the rates and eventually the P2P model features. if that doesn't happen, the whole project is going to fail even before starting. As of today, they still haven't confirmed it will ever come. They said they need a month or two to evaluate their options/path before they can state whether or not they'll be releasing a server. So "probably in autumn" is all pure speculation by players and means absolutely nothing.

  23. If you don't care, you wouldn't still be responding. This in itself proves you DO care. You're probably going to be one of the people here crying about me in a few months anyways. Seriously, PM your character name when the server's live. I wanna have fun, :). Edit: this was my last post on the forums, so if you respond, I won't see it. Toss me a PM if you want to play, :p.
  24. This is bullcrap, as much as it pains me to say it - L2 was never an mmorpg that needs lots of skills in PvP. Just pick a target and start mashing few skills. If you're a mage or archer - pick a target and mash skills while occasionally running away from your target. There's always some class that always beats the other with the exception of if the weaker class gets more lucky with critical hits and stuns. I like how so many people claim this. This is why you're going to get rolled in PvP. Anyways, not that it's that big of a deal. Server goes live soon and you'll see for yourself, :p. There's going to be a LOT of people bitching about me here, but I love the tears. I've been missing it. Things like this are awesome. And that wasn't farming n00bs. It was farming n00bs until their high levels came and then wiping higher levels/higher geared players of the same class (and other classes). But alas, L2C shall soon learn for themselves. There's actually quite a few references to me (I didn't even find out until years later, as I never visited the official forums, and one day decided to search my own char names to see if there was anything). It was fun, and I look forward to making the same marks here! I already started, but only got to 217 PKs before I got bored and decided to wait until live. P.S.: if you seriously think that L2 is a skill-less game, I'll personally prove you wrong later. Toss me a PM when you hit 75 and are geared, and I'll kill you on whatever class I hit 75 with first, :p. Not sure if that'll be dwarf, EE or Necro, but that gives you a 66.67% chance of at least having a LITTLE chance of winning. Sorry, can't be bothered to search for that picture, but I'm sure you've seen it before: -> YOUR E-PENIS MUST BE HUGE. Meh, every game has worked the same way. You're GOING to see people on these forums crying. "blah blah xxx keeps griefing me and I'm level 74 and it's hard to level! PLS BAN!" The fun part is when entire alliances pull you into their Vent server to request a truce because you won't stop griefing their members/killing everyone. There was one guild that wouldn't back down, though, and threatened me until a week later they conceded and asked me to stop killing their 70+'s that were trying to level up because they were in a battle they simply couldn't win. If you want to challenge me, give me your character name when the server's live and let's see how far you make it before you reroll, :). Do note, however, that I generally won't grief anyone under level 65-70 unless provoked through something other than chat (i.e., KSing, attempting to PK me, etc.).

What tactics are you gonna use in order to win at PvP against whatever, when the only Skill you have for PvP is stun? (mabie there's something else I don't really remember). Or if this game will be somewhat close to c3, mabie I will pick DA and you'll pick any archer class, I won't even need to use any skills exept for shield stun and my puma. There has been zero times when I lost a battle with DA against archer, and I have never seen any other DA get beat up by an archer. (in c3) Or my best memory of pvp was when I was playing as Spell Howler, going against other Spell Howler. We were both standing in front of each other doing nothing, becouse we knew that as soon as one of us does anything, the other one will use Silence and that's the death for a mage. That's some tactics SK actually has a much better chance in PvP than DA would. Archers can rape tanks, though. It just takes a long time to do it (arrow resist sucks!). I believe that TK would have the best chance of killing an archer out of all of the tank classes, though, when properly geared and dyed. And SR would definitely be the archer of choice for tank raping. Though a PW can do it as well (and some might argue that the PW has a better chance of living -- it was my PKing choice, personally).
