Not only that items need to count, he can drop and equiped items that not calculated in slots ? thats mean he have more than 78

i also heard. but i suspect that the side who dropped the ring also picked it up again. otherwise there probably would have been more flames!

equiped items counts as slot in inventory. we can dismiss only the ones which is not tradable and droppable, like scrolls, hats, circlet

except the fact that equipped items are already counted into that counter, so he really in fact had 78 items (77 without dropped orfen), but nice try ^^

items which are not dropable "can drop" as well, you are just not going to drop them if they happen to be items which were supposed to drop
