    • Player to Players in party level - Please anounce what difference must be?
    • Player to monster level  - As I understood its a difference between farming lower levels and you not to abuse but if I farm 6+ lvls higher then me why it doesnt count? just tested on my 64 tyrant in Blazing Swamp from bats and doom knights it counts and from orcs no, why?

    If I am remembering well:

    - level distance between players: 15 levels, it used to be 20 in older chronicles;

    - level distance between monster and player: only dark blue mobs didn't give XP/SP or it gave very low numbers;

    - distance for XP/SP gain: I don't know but it would be 600-1000? like the distance for a group heal to reach all party members.

To start it to answer ppls question if rizos is more than some random playing on server and his opinion weighting more - wake up and get out of hole, ppl are not equal, right now you dont have server which doesnt favor party/clan/ally leaders, most of the time admin even pays them to keep playing there, ally leaders+ admins having private chats where they balance sides and content and try to do stuff according to them, because they know if big sides leave, the server stops being attractive, so yes, his word is bigger than some randoms, eventho they say stuff (and its not rizos specifically, but any bigger leader, pretty sure if china/korean leader wrote to admin, maybe they wouldnt make admin change something, but they would minimum get reply from them, which i find very logical

Now about content, take this with slight salt and that i dont expect you implement it or implement it immediately, i know how long you make regular updates, so something this big would take tons of time

I was thinking why certain interlude server is actually doing fine with pvps - be it big sides or casual ppl, what they find so attractive about it and after watching some videos from there, i think i got some idea

    1) overenchanted items - club looks like freaking star wars, improved enchants seem like absolute mistake, because with RNG you can luckily make top weapons +12 with 3 clicks, when i watched some mass pvp for baium from that server which was 7h long, it was pov of hero destroyer (which is not something any random can make, so he was definitely not some poor random), he was running there in draconic armor and db bow +4, yes, for sure he had epics, but you know that making s grade weapon with armor? Its not hard, it just takes some time. What we have here? You have to farm adena and buy full overenchanted weapon, coz gl being lucky enough to make any piece of equip being close to powerlevel of items top ppl of server use

    2) that brings me to S grade content, all this overenchanted stuff must end with next grade, no special scrolls, no star wars, BUT you have to make it better than star wars B and A grade, so ppl will have to switch from it. I hoped you will open goddard as next big major update and smh figure this S grade stuff to abolish star wars and after that, god knows if how many years introduce good old HB with S80. Seeing how next major update is probably going to be HB, i really hope you wont be making any major changes to it and simply skip the S grade and jump straight to S80 gring fest.

    3) old S grade system actually brings casuals closer to old stacked players. You ask why? Imagine i play with 1 friend, how exactly am i going to make star wars weapon/armor without being forced to play different char than main just to gring tons of adena? Correct, you want S grade armor? You gotta go farm that ketra/varka quest, which ofc you can speed up with aoe, if you have better equip, but 2 randoms can do it in similar pace on some chill zone and actually seeing progress as their quest fills up, if you play and see "today i farmed 50kk, just 2kkk more and we can buy some good gun for one of us", thats really depressing mentality in my opinion. Oh, you got bored of farming ketra/varka quests? Sure, go make TTs recipes in HS (yes, they are cancer, but some ppl enjoy it? Also its content which you dont really speed with equip, thus again its catching mechanic for new ppl, as it takes same time to make new set of jewels like old players if they decide to do it). Oh, you got bored of this? Np, you can go farm weapon recipes in IT or FoG, you dont even need party for that, you can farm first room in IT, sure, you get random recipe but thats disadvantage compared to playing with clan/party,  you can still trade it between players for recipe you want. Also yes, FoG is gear dependant and destro could solo aoe farm recipes there later on in game, but IT? Limited mobs per room, problem was mobs giving you para so you need purify active, so even with better gear, you could max do 2 rooms farming compared to 1 room farming with barely any equip, so once again, new players would farm same powerlevel items comparable to old ppl

    4) make new grade of equip just by crafting system, not being able to drop full items from regular mobs (maybe you could consider some big major boss like anthy/valakas, which is once per week and that would be like 5-10% of all equip (90-95% being from craft), make crafting actually be time consuming and not too much gear dependant (as i said example with IT, or ketra/varka wasnt really spot you could wfficiently aoe farm for those recipes)

    5) make party zones really feel like party zones, you wont achieve that by simply pumping stats of mobs, you just make it harder for new/not so geared ppl while old folks will still farm it with 1 stacked orc. What you need is mobs actually having strong CCs, casting anchors, stuns, silences, strong bleeds, slows, sleep on healers, lowering defenses, etc., So you actually need active healers to cleanse, purify, heal, bards/tanks to aggro mobs and if you dont have that? Gl, your 1 tyrant will stand in CC all the time and eventually die with whole box army behind his ass. Make it as diverse as possible, some debuff being clensed by bishop, some by ee/se, some mobs focusing specially healers with debuffs, so that if party slacks, they will wipe if they dont react to debuffs fast enough, not mobs 1 shotting me coz i dont have +8 armor

Now just to mention some other stuff ppl enjoy on that chronicle is probably manor/stakato quest, that way you dont need to box and play spoiler to craft those S grades, you just do it on main (tho manor is questionable with all the soft ppl use nowadays, but anyway)

    Tl;dr

general idea what i bring is, let ppl farm a lot for something that once you make, its possible to upgrade, but its really hard. Also ppl must see actual progress, like "this week i made 2-3 recipes for gun, next week i will farn this and that material" instead of "this week i farmed X adena, i need Y adena more to afford to buy something instead of creating it myself"

I spoke about S grade, but same principle can be achieved with S80 and HB, just make it better than top star wars equip you have on server now, quest tedious and time consuming, but not by mobs being RBs but actually tricky with debuffs, aggro mechanics (for example some mobs could have random aggro on ppl who dont do anything, that way your boxes would get aggro and die all the time, while if having active healers/bards tank that wouldnt be problem, let them cast debuffs, even aoe debuffs, so healers need to play on range and actually care about position, some mobs aggroing depending on heal element etc.)

Ps: if you got all the way down here reading this wall of text which is bigger than i expected, you da champ 🏆

I might not be that popular to be read here, but I agree with your suggestions.

I would also introdue the Moirai set, as an alternative to S, and precursor to S80. Back in the day, you would farm recipes and mats, for Moirai, in the revamped Plains of the Lizardmen (Tanta Linzardmen if I recall) and revamped Beast Farm (lvl of mobs pumped to 80-81).

Also, as a POSSIBLE way to incentivize endgame people to farm, I would introduce the Skill Enchant system (with codex  attainable via Oly AND some high lvl farm zones). BUT, there's a but, make them +10 max, cost some little Adena, some medium SP and a lot of EXP.

Why are u even "try" to compare CoV with other PoX buffs?

You'd think that CoV, being a group buff, gave less offensive/defensive benefits than the single target Prophecies.

Indeed PoWI is just...why? They should have kept these buffs like they were in HI5, and maybe tweak them here and there; make them shine in one particular situation, but in the same time to give other benefits (lower ones, but noticeable).

    Prophecy of Wind
For 5 minutes, Max HP by 20%, Critical Rate by 20%, magic damage by 20%, P. Atk. by 10%, P. Def. by 20%, Atk. Spd. by 20%, M. Atk. by 20%, M. 4. I may not be a WL specialist, but I did play it in the olden days and it was a very fun class to farm with. Although a bit difficult to manage in mass PvP, if you had lag or a slow computer. That and bad items, low level, no epics, might convince most players that it's a bad class. It all comes to preferences I might say.

I looked at the skills WL has in Classic and they seem fine, pvp-wise. I guess it all depends on the gear you have, and the one the enemy has, plus the buffs/debuffs.

Now, don't jump at my throat, but I would make the "Detect" skills give more bonuses, and would make them scale per level-thresholds.

    1. Detect Insect Weakness, for example, gives a 5% bonus dmg against insects, which to me seems very low.

Maybe increase it to 10%, or even 15%. Or, keep 5% dmg and give 5% defense against insect attacks. Work with the numbers until you find the perfect balance and not make the class overpowered. And add these changes to all "Detect" skills.

    2. Another suggestion would be to add 3% vampiric effect to Fell Swoop, and make it work only with Spears/Polearms, and only in PvE.

Lvl 1 Fell Swoop - give 1% VR

Lvl 3 Fell Swoop - give 2% VR

Lvl 5 Fell Swopp - give 3% VR

    3. Give another level to Thrill Fight, and make it give at lvl 3: -7% Speed, +13% Attack Speed.

If you want, at lvl 85 you can give another level to the skill, so it will give: -5% Speed, +15% Attack Speed

Anyway, you can tweak the numbers if they are too good, as these were just some examples to help the class a little bit.

I have no particularly strong feelings about or experience with H5, considering I never really got into L2 until Fafurion. Kinda wish I did though with any of the pre-GoD stuff, considering I’m a lore bitch.

Actually, after C4, there wasn't too much of a lore. I mean, on their site (pre-2012) there was a section with the lore. Most people might remember the "Legend".

But after reading the Legend, there wasn't too much information revealed about the events in C5, Gracia, etc. Maybe some quests offered something; all I can think of is the 7 Signs chain quests, but other than that, you'd have to really scour the internet for information about, let's say, the Kamael.

Other ways one could learn about the world was by making the Baium, Antharas, Valakas, Frintezza, Freya quests. Or from 3rd Class and Noblesse quests.

I read on some site that they (the kamael) were created by the Giants, to be God-killing-machines; and that's all I can recall.

Other info I have is that the "Seal of Shilen" (Forbidden Gateway, near the Cemetery of Aden) is where Shilen will come into the world. It's a gateway of some sort, guarded by one of her generals. Again, very old memory from the far reaches of the internet.

As you said, the potential was there, but it was missed in favor of more money making I guess.

Yeah, they really messed up with that. At least Juji managed to save some of the lore here.

I do wonder how many of the cinematics were meant to be connected, like using the same characters. Granted, they could just be similar race and hairstyle and I’m reading too much into it...But that’s part of the fun.

I never thought they were linked. They all just seemed to be promo material-type cinematics.

I am so sad that this game has gone to shit, from a player perspective. Because, from a dev perspective, they still make money out of the P2W part.

And hate all you want, but my favorite was truly H5 chronicle. They could've improve so much upon the imbalances, instead of introducing Goddess.

I really think there will be no other MMO like Lineage 2. I have tried several, and none scratched that itch. Maybe in another life.

Oops, should’ve been more clear: my translations are for the Interlude trailer only. I assumed OP meant that as well—Interlude, Grand Crusade, and Daughter of Shilen/Age of Splendor cinematics are the only ones with character names (that I know of, there could be more).

in Interlude, we have four of the five main  characters given names (except the delf female with a ponytail). In DoS we get Kain, Shilen, and Elcadia. Grand Crusade has Kain van Halter, Giselle, and Etis van Etina. (kinda curious why so many humans named Kain, because they’re obviously not all the same person—there’s several in the lore as well. Maybe a popular naming convention after their Creator? Like, Elves might name their daughters Eva. Idk)

I feel like there might be more cinematic names I missed, but this is what I have currently.

*also, I keep thinking the Interlude and Oath of Blood delf females are the same person (same ponytail/outfit etc) and the light elf female in both, though wearing different clothes, is also the same person idk

Could you please share the link of that Interlude trailer? I think I don't know it.

after their Creator? Like, Elves might name their daughters Eva.

Shilen created the elves from water. Eva was the goddess of music and poetry. After Shilen's demise, they made Eva the goddess of water and the elves started to worship her instead. At that time, Shilen was already the goddess of death/destruction and created the underworld, and got trapped in it by her mother Einhasad.

I always thought nice the system that you can upgrade your skills power/time, etc with those books (dont remember which chronic is that), but its a thing that could be implemented in the future.

I think it started with Chronicle 4, when Ketra/Varka and other zones were added. Giant's Codex is the book name, for skill enchantment.

It was difficult to obtain them, because you could only get them with Oly points. Of course, people would sell at the market, but they were expensive and you could always fail when +++ your skill.

The way to obtain them got so easy in High Five update. they dropped in several places, most of them in the re-worked Dragon Valley. I liked that because it was easier for others to upgrade their skills without participating in the Oly.

I also like that system (can't find it on the web anymore) they implemented in...forgot which Goddess update; where you could choose a path and allocate point to HP/MP, Acumen, Pdef., etc. However, if I brought that here, I would totally re-work it from the ground up and offer many more options to really customize your build. Not just M.Atk, Casting, P.Def and HP/MP crap.

  9. I always thought that robe-supports have a tough time with mana, in L2. At least up until 70-76, it's difficult.

So, dare I say mana herbs to be consumed only by SE/EE/BISH/WC/OL/PP? Herbs which either replenish 16-20 MP/x time or 100/250/500 MP max.

This or more passives for mana.

not awful at all ... its exactly what you asked for .... they can add those new skills in small updates to change metagame and refresh server classes, while not adding shit things like kamael and element system (you just didnt understand what it fully meant ... so dont worry .. "small patches" doesnt mean they are SMALL ... but it means its not 3.5 or 4.0 etc)

They also have too much content to add ... specially things that they can come up with like the Primeval island and talismans (clubs design... and better than official servers shittty goddard update)

I guess you're right. I was thinking of "bring only the good stuff, leave the crap on official" anyway. I wasn't referring to the whole content, but some new stuff, from time to time would be appreciated. Like VILE said, 5 min dance/song, or my personal favorite - more mana management possibilities for healers/rechargers/buffers (thinking of passives).

GMs already said that club reached its final BIG update with antharas... and from now on they will keep making small updates to change metagame and add small things from time to time .... like the last one with quality of life for newcomers , or the january balance patch etc

    Oh wow, awful.

    Thanks for the info.

In fact, there are good updates on this server. Updates that are on Korean servers or on ru off are a complete trash can.

The only thing I would like to see on this server:

    1) Gums and Songs - 5 min

    2) Add catacombs and necropolises

    3) Revise some classes in L2 (debuffs are greatly underestimated)

    4) Run ads to attract new players

I agree. I forgot to mention the modifications that were made, on Classic Club, to some official crap features.

  13. Hello,

This is mostly addressed to San0 and Koll, but feel free to participate in the conversation. :)

I am curious when/if you will update the server to future Classic "chronicles". I kind of lost track of the official names, with all the Russian vs Korean update names, but I am mostly thinking of the one where SE/EE receive mass recharge, SE mass stigma, where elements are introduced to the game and the auto-farm function exists,

NOW BEFORE SCREAMING AT ME, I am NOT interested in auto-farm feature, nor do I want it here, but I don't remember that update name which contains it. I am more interested in the rest.

I think it's the one with the Kamael. I don't care much if you bring that race or not, but the rest of the update interests me. :D

Most of those who defend this system have made a fortune on it and they will stomp their feet like children and continue to ruin the gameplay for normal players.

This! This is just how post-communist, older people think. The only ones who cry after communism, and say that it was good, are the ones who had "connections" and lived a happy life (not starving, having money, material stuff).

\-the thing that bugs me the most is the absence of catacombs and necropolis. I don't understand why they admins won't add them since these will be a lot of fun, farming would be profitable I guess, and clans with wars will have a lot of work to stay in them. Even more, it will be a honey trap for bots, so they will ban them faster (including the owners). The lack of these zones is the must frustrating issue for me.

I think that powerful clans will have a monopoly over the catacomb and necropolis and nobody else would be able to farm there.

The pvp they bring would most probably be between high level players, protecting their low level farm characters.

I am saying this because you won't get all catacombs and necropoli. I think, in Classic, there is only Disciples (+Lilith boss) and Dark Omens (+Anakim boss).
