could we get the new (old) event item drop system?

I know that in old events it was like it, but last couple of events items were dropping even from the bonus exp mobs like taik orc shaman, doom knight and tormented undead, but they don't seem to drop the event items this event  why it was changed for this event? could we get the old (new) drop again?
