  1. not everyone is willing to pay to play on offi thou. there's also Blade&Soul, Black Desert and Bless on the horizon, and since they're all free to play, guess how many people will be willing to p2p for an old game with obsolete gameplay, when there's new titles with better gameplay coming up. i'm not saying fans won't play on offi, since nostalgia is always there. just don't expect to have tons of people in EU. getting expectations way too high will only backfire in the long run, and RU offi is a good example of that. on a sidenote: the current situation here gives no hope whatsoever. no infos regarding that partnership. no weekly updates. no communication as it was before at 1.0/2.0 Beta launch. as i said before, i give them points for trying to run a L2C p.server, but clearly it's a thing they can't handle properly.
  2. https://4gameforum.com/threads/527509/ looks like NA/SA got the short end of the stick. goodbye americans :v but you never know. if they're lucky, maybe they'll get a server too, if NCWest decides to make a poll like 4game did in EU and it gets enough people interested.
  3. considering the situation, i doubt this server will go live in 2015. maybe early 2016 with some luck, but even then, it's all speculation. and since Innova will launch Classic in EU too, the more time passes, the more players will leave eventually to play on offi.
  4. neglecting your playerbase is never a good thing. if the project can't keep running for many reasons, they should at least have the decency to be honest and tell the truth, instead of keep people waiting in the dark. but considering the facts of the past, i doubt it will happen. the chances of this server/forum to slowly disappear without any notice are costantly increasing day after day. i had hopes too before, but after seeing this lack of information for so long, i doubt this project will ever go Live. i give them points for trying, but the overall bad management killed it.
  5. they're making the same mistake again by keeping it p2p. nowdays most people don't really care about a game that's decades old with an obsolete gameplay, especially when there's even new titles coming out the next year. even Aion was a triple A game with p2p model and a way better gameplay overall than L2, and it ended up becoming f2p as well after server merges( and even now they're planning server merges in EU ). the only people willing to play L2C are those who already played it in the past before it turned to crap, aka those driven by nostalgia. sadly, nostalgia alone will not suffice, nor work in the long run, especially with shit rates. RU is a good example of that, considering all the server merges they had and all the players they lost after the first 3 months. in EU the same thing will happen for guaranteed. p2p may work for a while, but then it will drop the playerbase drastically.
  6. true enough. wonder if we'll actually have to pay in order to play online with Motherbase invasions and other stuff. Konami has been quite an asshole recently :v
  7. reading about "people running p.server for free with no profit involved" it's kinda fun and sad at the same time. naivity at its finest. as for the rest, it's always the same daily routine. bitching about promises not fullfilled will solve nothing, especially when nobody really gives a shit about it. the server will go Live when it will be ready. can't wait? then move on.
  8. not a bug for sure, it just comes in 2.0.
  9. they could indeed post at least once a week, even if it's just to say "we're still working on X stuff, there's X that needs testing, etc", just to show that at least they're busy. leaving a forum without any info for long periods is just going to backfire, especially when you see the admins logged on forum almost on daily basis. it doesn't feel right. and the thing is: if no fucks are given at all, hope will slowly turn into disappointment, and disappointment will lead to giving up on the server.
  10. some people have been playing in JP before. i didn't bother to play there for the following reasons: language barrier, bots, p2w shop. also, anyone that tries to speak english in general chat usually ends up getting reported and then banned, so i wouldn't reccomend playing there. it's basicly the same as RU, just with a different/crap business model. unless you have friends and you're mentally prepared to avoid any sort of verbal communication with other people, don't bother playing on JP.
  11. I there is a larger Euro/Russ community than there is for NA/CAN. Besides here, there really isn't anywhere else to go for "low rates" and "classic" without being emerged in complete Euro/Russ/KA populations. it's not a matter of community, it's a matter of language. on international servers there may be plenty of people from different countries, but the common role is that the general language would be english in order to avoid issues. there might still be very few people that keep speaking in their language, but that's just the minority, usually about 2-3% of the server. anyhow, i sure as hell am not going to play a game where everything is in cyrillic and people speak only a language that i can't even understand. beside, i'd rather stay away from a server full of shitty zergs+bots.
  12. they should still be p2p. only JP is f2p as far as i know. what's sad is that there's a sea of botters + pay2win shop with enchants, soulshots and other crap. basicly, JP has the perfect game version for e-bayers and wallet warriors.
  13. it's been already explained before. it was said that the rates would have been x3 from Classic, not default. so in the end it should be 1/2 rates compared to 1/6 from offi, at least on EXP, drop and spoil. Adena-wise should be the same as offi, since it got increased on offi as well with recent patches.
  14. well, many of those who have been around here pre-beta 1.0 already knew what they were going to deal with. for me, it's not really a big surprise. i was already expecting that the Live date would get postponed again, if they didn't manage to finish before mid-august. fact is: are there any other valid alternatives for an international server? 'cause as far as i know, all the other projects out there are russian, so it's useless to keep bitching about it. and language-barrier aside, i sure as hell don't want to play with a sea of botters where PvP is all about who has the biggest zerg. that's a kind of shitty gameplay that does not interest me.
  15. most EU/NA people won't bother to migrate over there anyway, since that server will be for the 99% made of russians. hell, even the forum was full russian with just ENG as sub-section language. in any case, making new threads about this situation day after day after day until the end of august won't change anything. if you can wait for fixes, good, if not just move on and that's it. no point in stressing over it on daily basis, especially when it's all about a private server project.
