Delete old threads.

Why u dont delete old threads?

It comes to the fact that if u type in Search field for example: Class Change the actual Class Change topic is on 3rd site, or other stuff is almost not able to find by Search field.

People are so lame that they are going to create new topics anyway instead of use Search field to fix their problem. Forum turn into trash can like this.

Put some delay on topics and when they re going to be deleted.

Or delete retarded topics urself, like when somebody ask 100th time about "When 2.0 update" - answer in topic and then next day delete it, or it will remain on forum and then in Search field.

Generally speaking deleting old topics from forum is bad. Yes, it messes up search function (which most people dont use anyway), however then you see servers with auto deletion topics and when you go to their forum you see 6 topics in recruitment section and 12 topics in general topic, which isnt really appealing to newcomers.

Only themes with outdated information will be deleted. And also the flood and the hollywar.

if we speak of auto it could be even 3 month delay, wouldnt make forum look empty, and we got plenty new topics a week.

Oh please don't do it, man. The old threads are memories.

A lot of old threads with legends like @Hola and @cassiopeia would've been gone forever. Isn't it possible to just archive them and exclude from the search? Or just do a back up of them? Just please don't remove them permanently.

Exactly, a lot of topic are just gold, and even the small ones are great because they're part of the servers' history.

Also it's naive to believe that if old topics get deleted, people will suddenly start using search more - the problem aren't old topics, the problem is the f#@!ing search delay!

Just take a look how F***ING STUPID IT IS! Some newbie wants to find where they can get EWC, so they search for EWC. Well f*ck them, they need to " Try broadening their criteria or choosing a different content area". Well s***, ok, let's try "enchant weapon C" then. WELL F*CK THEM AGAIN BECAUSE

But it's ok, let's chill out because they're calm people and there is no reason to be upset. They go make a coffee, have a nap and search delay will reset. Ok let's type "enchant weapon C" again. Well guess what!  

FOUND 0 RESULTS

Their hands are shaking, their face is red, tears coming down their eyes, how is possible? Has nobody ever talked about weapon enchants before? As the despair is consuming their souls they figure the cause:

THE SEARCH AREA AUTOMATICALLY CHANGED TO F***ING STATUS UPDATES.

 

 

So they just go out and make a new topic asking where they can find enchant weapon C.
