  1. If you find a good clan or a group of people that is not bothered by your casual play style, your journey will be as smooth as mine ? I currently am not even able to play after work (due to personal reasons), and only playing during the weekend. I just let my char fishing when I can't play, and that's all
  2. Still waiting for words from admins about this (and hopefully some guides XD) This may take a serious amount of time to develop.. much more than a guide (and whoever will do this will also have to update with every patch) Never say never eh... but I would not hold my breath waiting for it
  3. Nice hint! // Off Topic - start I'm actually trying to automate this process (making a sort of launcher that handles this kind of things), so this kind of suggestions are really appreciated! beside that, has anyone found or knows how to implement Morim's Mods on 2.0? I really would love to include them in a custom system // Off Topic - end
  4. This one should work Even if it would be really awesome to have the Morim's mods working again on 2.0, it would be a really great QoL update ?
  5. Agree. The reward system, if it ever will be approved (or even thinked by the admins), should be something well balanced, and actually rewarding the effort of making a freshly and widely usable guide for the entire community. but I agree a lot with this fact for sure
  6. That is the thing to avoid. Better make something like 3 tier rewards (Gold, silver and bronze for example) and nothing more, to make people give their best Beside that, it would be awesome if people would like to share their knowledge without any reward at all (but i know that is not something i'll ever see ?
  7. Yeah, in fact, the idea of making a sort of contest (like they did on Skelth btw) was something. I get that it takes some effort, but people should think that this is for the greater good of making the server a better place for everyone, and not only people that already knows what to do! On my side, I'm willing to do some of this guides, as soon as I have enough knowledge on the matters.
  8. Hello fellow gamers! Hope you are having a good game, and enjoing the server as much as I'm doing ? Unfortunately I'm not playing that much during week-days for work/personal reasons, but my char is fishing, and waiting for my return for the weekend (yuppie! ) So, while I'm at work, and burning out of boredoom I was thinking that it would be awesome to have some guides (like, documents on google drive, or entire threads in the Tutorial section, with images and details) on: How to play in this server Simple guides on how to install the client (update the already existing guide), register (explaining the diffrence and importance of Main Account from Game Accounts), starting your first char (info about the starting bonuses and so on), using the Action House and so on What Quests must be done, and how to do those quests (like the Moon Knight obviously, but also side/repeatable quests that may come handy) What is the meta Which class to play, why everyone should have a Bow, how to handle adena as a newbie, when to change equipment, how to start fishing and so on Tools that can be used that will not get you banned for example: I used to play FFXIV from the head start, and used ACT almost from the same time, it was against the TOS of Square-Enix, but it was not game-breaking tool so it was (and is) accepted; this kind of tools, if any exists, for L2. Mods that can be used that will not get you banned: Color chat mod (and how to install it), any other possible mod (Like this one for example) Any other thing (recording gameplay? even taking a screenshot or how to use loop-macroes efficiently) All this little guides/tutorials will come handy for new (and returning) players, This will dissipate a lot of the misunderstandings of the people that starts playing here, or that come back after a while. And being made specifically for the server there would be no possibility for errors/variations (for example: i lost some time looking for the fishing quest that was listed on l2wiki, before knowing that it does not exists here ^^') Hope some veterans (or just more experienced player than me XD) will start posting, If you have any thought about this matter (like making an event with a prize for the best guide maybe (?) to involve more people), just answer on this thread See you in game!
  9. Thank you! Using this l2.ini we need to start the game from l2.exe instead of the launcher?
  10. As a newbie here (don't watch my joining date XD... i simply started last weekend playing actually!) I'll add my 2 cents: I Agree with the fact that paying 10€/month to get a buffer is way too much. But I don't blame the server owners, they need some kind of earning and this seems the best way (also because this mean that most of the people online is real people, and it is a good thing... no?) Beside that, it is anyway a given choice to pay those euros to play (for example i tried the 7 days just to see how it was, it costed just 3€); The main difference with Skelth resides here, in the fact that you can at least play without pay. Free Teleports until 40 should be a must; It was really difficult to handle adena in the start, me and my gf had some issues to meet eachother (as she started DE and I started Orc). Fortunately our clan helped us out, or we would still be hanging in our starting zone ^^' Newbie buffer is something I didn't feel the need of; Levelling i've got several rewards some of which are buff scrolls (and i'm just 30, i've checked and there are more yet to unlock) Other than that, is true that at low level is difficult to find people, is also true that most of the people is waiting for the next patch, so i'm not worried. In the end, I'm enjoing my journey with all the calm and the time I need, and I honestly appreciate the work of the devs here, as they give me the possibility to play this game
  11. Thank you @Humble for the hints! In the end we decided to go for Tyrant + SE (and a BD box), we are around level 30 (during the weekend we are to play a bit more :P) We joined Drizzt clan, and it seems really good so far (very nice people, helping and caring about new players ) Still, if you (or anyone else) have a guide or similar to share (like what quests to do if any, or how to make some money, or were to farm to hope for some drops XD) feel free to drop a link here, i'll give it a read for sure ? For now, have a good game
  13. I came here exactly for the opposite reason... lol I love the fact that this server is still stable, populated and without wipes in the last 4/5 years
  14. Ciao!
  15. Sure i would like to, but it is a long shot, given the small amount of time i have ? I would like to join a clan, but I don't know if we can fit in a top one... As I said my game time schedule is tight (and not on a regular basis) Most probably will pvp only wen needed with my gf or small group (maybe this will change in the future).. I can say for the moment that the objective is mostly pve I will play in a duo for most of the time (with my gf) As the others suggested, I will probably buy 1 PA and play 2 boxes (my gf will play one... or viceversa).. In total we will have a stable group of 3 char (if the box is needed, if going se + warlord can let us avoid the box for the moment we will avoid it ?) If you mean character class, i used to play DA back in the day. But i would like to change (and honestly warlord doesn't seem too bad) If you mean our playstyle, we are more pve oriented, but we also do not dislike a bit of pvp from time to time! --- Edit --- I've started reading around in the forum some posts similar to mine, and it seems like Warlord is not a suggested pick (as it will be nerfed in the upcoming patches), while Tyrant seems to be a better pick. Keeping this in mind, and knowing that i would like to not play a tank or a mage class, - What class can you suggest to play? - Based on this suggestion; What class should my gf play? (she usually go for buffer or healer, and she is ok with it xD) - And, to complete the answer, What class should we box?
  16. Thank you for the answers and infos, I really appreciate it ? I'm still downloading, so I may start playing with my GF from tomorrow. I'm convinced about doing the VIP for one char but now I dunno which class to choose as main >_< (and consequentially, which class to choose as a secondary support) I wanted to go Destro mainly because i love the greatsword style of playing, but if warlord + se is a better option i may go for that one. Also, in that case the VIP could be avoided? or we should still think to level up a BD (or any other support)?
  17. So, the best way to start is to play with at least one box (and thus spending those 10€) for the BD, or it would be ok also to just go for WC+Destro? Exactly as I thought, well, i think i'll level it up during "dead times" when i should play on my own Thank you for the infos ?
  18. She usually plays a support class (like healer or buffer) while i do the dirty job XD... but honestly we are open to suggestions for a good duo to grow up nicely and without too much of a hassle ? Well i kinda knew that, but the question was more intended like "is it worth to play Dwarf first, and main character later?" but i suppose this is more of a 'personal' choice
  19. Hello there fellow players, I've already played here on this server a couple of years ago, and as every other L2 player I quit and come back every now and then, as the nostalgia comes by I really didn't achieved too much when i started here, as I then tried Skelth and NCWest to see how it was, and was a bit disappointed ^^'.. that's why i went back to FFXIV and Diablo, out of boredoom... but hey, nothing is like grinding on L2 So I decided to come back, but before i restart the client I also wanted some updated infos about the server, and that's why i'm here writing this thread ? Without further ado, let's get to the questions! How is this server going? Still populated? (2 years ago it had around 1.5k/2k ppl online, it was not bad at all) (For ppl that have also tried NCWEST and 4Game L2) What is the reason that keeps you here, instead of going on one of the official server? Does the PA gives other benefits beside the possibility to dualbox? is it a problem if me and my girlfriend play from the same IP? (we live in the same house, and plan to return together) For someone that mostly plays 1 or 2 hours after work (not every day) and during the weekend, would you suggest starting a new adventure here? This server is still up-to-date with the 4Game one? (i know i should search more, and ask less.. but i like to have all the informations in one place ?) I've read about the looping macroes, can anybody suggest a site (or a google document maybe) with some (everyday usable) example? Does it makes sense to have a dwarf to craft/spoil things, or should i just go for my main char? If Destroyer is not the best "main class" to start with (as it would be difficult to find groups for anything), should i go for any other class specifically? (Buffer/SWS/BD/Healer for example) Any news about this? (i opened that thread when i started playing here XD) for the moment i think i've asked everything, but never say never, i may come back with more Hope you have fun in game (and outside of it ofcourse!)
  20. Well, this is really kind of you, thank you! Hope to be able to return the favor some day! In game you can send it to Majuri Well it would be alot easier to save some money for newbie like this .. we gotta wait for an official answer btw edit--- I just watched the changes in the patches on 2.0 and 2.5 and there is nothing about free teleport, so I suppose it is not something Also noticed that in 2.5 all the Teleport Scroll, that now you get from reward system, are going to be replaced by something else... >_>
  21. Ok, i like this tip, I will surely do The main reason I'm doing the "spoil all base mats recipe" is to be able to craft all the things I need... Not to get rich So, the actual question was, if there is a way (or any plan) to add some newbie travel token, so that if you try to level a dwarf or an Orc you don't need to spend 3k adena to leave your starting village (and other 3k to come back)
  22. Another hour (maybe less lol) in the game, and here I'm again So, I wanted to go to the Orc Village and Talking Island to spoil some low level base material recipe (like the Braided Hemp and cokes) I was not able to find a quick way to the Orc Village (or Talking), the only one I found was going to Gludin and than teleport to the starting towns. But this way it costs way too much for a starting player (all in all, to get to talking then orc village and then come back to the dwarven village, I has to spent something like 12k adena, that I don't have!). The main issue here is that, to get all the money i need to travel around the world and get the basic recipes I was levelling too much and ended up being too high level to spoil/drop recipe from level 7 mosters in Talking island. With my fiancee we found a way (she is a couple of level behind me, and i gave her some money to teleport..) Is there another way to teleport avoiding/reducing the fees at low level? Sorry if my explanation is confusing ^^'

    [LF] 2.0 Mods

I see (in fact I've just understood recently that this is a sort of new chronicle!) Anyway, at some point, if you do all that you can to start participate into PVP, Siege and whatelse, you get into the "soft"-endgame where you actually don't do anything else than PVP and Siege. I know, it may not be like that, still in a server like this, with an Auction House and with the small amount of our I have to play, I prefer to start as I've always done in the past. This way I should never really need the help of anyone else to enjoy the game (not talking about RB and Epic.. but i think that there is a long long way before reaching that point )
  24. Oh ok, i'll check later than, Thank you again Cyane
  25. Thank you for your answer! I really like the fact that this a new Chronicle based on the Vanilla game , is there a RoadMap or any hint of what the future update will be? Ragarding the link to l2wiki it doesn't load (i tried from my office pc and from my phone (using LTE)).. I'm from italy, maybe that host is blocked here?
