An important question about dualbox!

Hello everyone.

I'm really confused about something that happened with a friend of mine.

He let his human mystic logged at his house, following his human fighter the was logged at his workplace. So, two pcs, at two different places and one character was following, not doing any actions besides that. At his job he was alt+tab his fighter, using a macro for next target + attack. And surprise! The mystic and the fighter were moved to jail for "dualboxing"!

So here is the question, is prohibbited let your character following someone while you are afk? If i'm in party with my friends from  my city, and then have to go out a litle, letting my character following then we will be jailed? Please staff, i want to know your position about this!

If he get jailed it's because he automated his char for attack while he is not here (look like bot) and he didn't respond to a gm while checking his char.

And don't say he afk just during 4-5 min, it's impossible to be banned for that.

If you are here (playing/kill mobs) and respond to a gm then someone can follow you (even if he is afk), it will not be a problem.

Btw thank for your attention, but still want staff positions about my question, my friend situation is not the importante thing at this topic, is something that he will have to solve with ticket to support

You can't make macros to check mobs HP or make macros that will make every millisecond ask all your chars follow you. If you have things like this - you will be banned. This is only one of many parts of test your char on illegal soft.

Adding info: He sent a ticket explaining his situation and got a automated message saying that the charcater was blocked for using forbidden dualbox. And to unblock has to pay 50 col

First of all, he didnt got jail by botting, he got jail by "forbidden dualbox". This is what the GM said to him on jail, and again on the support ticket!

Second, as i said before, he was on one screen! The fighter! The other was at another pc, at another place but at the same city!

So when he pushed a macro he could see his screen! And see if anyone was hitting first! LOL. For this there is Next Target action button, that you can put on MACRO!! And yes, a macro can't check monsters HP, but a person can! LOL again!

But you know, Koll did the conversation about booting... I was just answering and then i couldn't be quiet about what he says. You guys said twice to my friend that he got jail by doing "forbidden dual box", in game and on a ticket, but he was doing exactly what you just said that is allowed, 2 accounts in 2 different pcs. It's has nothing to do with booting...

So another question then. Why he is in jail by "forbbiden dualbox", since play in 2 accounts in different pcs is allowed?

Again, based on the ingame chat and the support ticket that said exactly this:

It would be really nice to understand that from a staff member!

And please, do not start the bot talking again... It's quietly odd have to repeat all the time what you guys said to someone...

So it's not drama when vamps911 says that gm's are always right... Actually you guys are acting like that, when ignore a player explaining and give a premade answer.

Lets be clear. If that ocurrency was properly managed by you guys, that conversation wouldn't even happen! You could ask him to prove that he wasn't with dualbox... prints, check ip... so many ways... But you didn't...

Then please, listen what your players are speaking to you. Change your way to talk and act with your players, or yes, soon or later this server will crumble when it has all to be awesome!

you can play with your brother from same connection, the restriction is for hardware, and not IP. you just cant have more then 1 account on same pc at same time without premium.

If you can not stand the heat, stay out of the kitchen.

Or simply play the game as it is meant to be. Grinding is a major aspect. If you do not like it, i dare say you will not be happy with Lineage 2 in the long run.
