  1. OMFG I found someone who believes just like me that custom modifications are a cure to the cancer of this game ! I can die happy now Seriously DEVs you should customise stuff without insisting on announcing it to everyone on the world. Make a balancing thread regarding a particular issue, ask for opinions, if there won't be hords of raging lemmings nuking the thread down, approve it, implement, done, issue fix. It was discussed with community, announced (although not posted with font 291709173 on the main website), your PR work is done, noone should feel liad to. If someone is very interested in a particular custom change he will dig into the forum and find it, but 99% of people (including me) who have no clue how OFFI L2 classic "should work" won't even notice/identify the difference. Gawd it pains me so badly whenever I think even for a swift moment how great this game could be if someone had the balls to do sth about it. I mean outside of fun mass PvP concept, these chronicles are crap. PvP is repetitive boredom based around being 3+ levels higher and stun/fear locking people. Ok sry I might have gone a bit too far with it :f Anyways @Reaper this is what you said: Faster movement to get on your farming spot - AGREED Fster checking for enemies on big landscape spots - AGREED Possible to get some time for regroup once you see enemies comming for you - a bit iffy but could AGREE to this one too Ok so if these are your arguments you should be ok with change like i.e. auto-dismount upon being attacked (Debuffed or damaged). It doesn't affect the benefits of mounts that you appreciate while satisfying some of expectations that plenty of people have regarding mounts PvP being bad for the gameplay. I just want to finish my wall-of-text post by sharing very wise thought which I read on some classic forum (quite recently): "People should stop believing/telling themselves that every bug and/or balance flaw made by koreans on official servers is a planned and intended feature"
  2. Do you really consider ES/PS stronger than NECRO ? I'm not sure if you'r trolling me or not :f

    cant log in

Or it's possible you typed too many times wrong password to your account and got 5-10(?) min temporary-auto ban after which you can attempt to login again
  5. @Reaper lets shift the conversation a bit and instead of everyone trying to convince you that mounts are bad, you go ahead and throw some arguments to why you think PvP on mounts is ok and should stay as it isd now. Maybe you will convince us with solid arguments and prevent 20 extra "omigi m0nt sAx, dilete pliz" threads that will most likely happen during this weekend
  6. So you made 11th topic. Damn that's so clever! LOL wtf why TOP5 and not TOP1 ?! Oo
  7. Agreed with San0. It always varied for me as well

    SK 2nd quest

TP from giran to hardrims academy OR Type in google: lineage 2 pmfun This is a C4+ database but it's still extremely usefull in some cases. After you find a mob in the search bar, click on the little red flag near his name. It will open up a map with exact positioning/spawn place of particular mob. It can be outdated for classic chronicles, but most of mobs required for particular quests, stayed unchanged. It's very usefull when trying to understand in which part of a particular farming zone mobvs are being spawned.
  9. Damn so skillfull Press summon attack and afk 5 screens away from the actual fight I'm starting to miss good old c3-c4 :<
  10. If you aren't a very experienced player (and since you are requesting such advise then you probably aren't) I would advise you to stay away from BISHOP. You need to know this game very good and you need to know what to do (how to progress) to achieve resaonable levels on this class. Bishop is considered useless for 95% of random parties and is appreciated only in higher level CP/CLAN play. In duo play he brings almost nothing to the "party" while when planning to join random parties, people simply won't invite you, unless you find some friends who are willing to slow down their progression in order to allow you leach their experience. If you have a cleric and like healing ppl, simply go for PP. Prophet is still a good semi-healer while being arguably best buffer for most parties. He's great for duo farming and usually there are reasonable ammounts of random parties looking for that class as well.
  11. Guess you have a point with the nostalgia factor that dissapeared when trading area was moved from Giran. With that said personally I stopped looking at the nostalgia factor in classic chronicles. Why ? Because there's nothing classic in l2 classic :< I mean sure you have limited equipment/map and levels but that's pretty much all. You have completely different pvp meta/balance, different farming meta, different skills, different drops from mobs, different enchantments (i.e. runes instead of SA)) etc... Even old c6 felt more like C3 than classic 1.5 did/does :f If classic was like REAL classic-old style chronicles c3-c4 I would completely support your idea because it would simply match the general theme. But since classic is simply a completely different/new chronicle - one Giran trading zone won't make the game feel like in the good old days while bringing some unneeded annoyance factor mentioned above :f
  12. I still don't get the hate that GH is getting. To me it was an great idea. It's huge, has plenty of trading area without any obstacles (like the statues in middle of giran). Free access was a great idea as well. Last but not least, I know it's more of a one time benefit for most but doing 2nd prof quests is a lot less annoying nowadays. On the servers where most of trading was traditionally done in Giran, every part of quest that required porting into Giran, was taking considerably more time to do. There were some FPS drops, spam in the chat, long loading times etc etc. Although im a non-factor player (and not talking about that clan :D) for the most part, and my vote prob doesn't matter at this moment, but I strongly support the idea of GH being the trading zone and strongly dissagree with moving trading zone to any other town because of above reasons :f
  13. 24 y old Ferrari can be worth a fortune you know ?! JK, nvm what I said above if this is how things stand all I have to say is that I regret we can't perma DDOS all of these RMT's :f
  14. Well I definitely don't have an extensive knowledge regarding server maintance costs but I feels like you are a bit exaggerating. I mean renting servers nowadays isn't that expensive (I've heared in the past that some servers spent 100-200 USD on that purpose - although I don't have a proof if that was in fact truth) and I do understand that you need to pay/take salaries as well, question is if the salaries aren't too high/ (flame and banhammer incoming :D) I know one game which I loved, which had bright and shiny future in front of it, but at some point owner started to buy a new ferrari each month and suddenly players started to hear that there's not enough funds to maintain competitive scene/advertisement and other stuff after which this game fallen into a downward loophole to non-existance. Now I'm not saying that it's the same story with classic club (because I can see the advertisement and chronicle upgrading work being done) but it makes me wonder of some parts of the "HR" costs aren't slowly rising and forcing the mentioned services changes/discussion of funds not being high enough. Anyways I appreciate the effort and tough work you make to continue the project and you have my clap on the back for that. My biggest concern regarding financial aspect of the server are the RMT services. You don't have to be an math geniuss to quickly realise that COL's bought with adena coming from RMT are ttwo times cheaper compared to the cost of PA bought legitemately from the server DEVs. My question is: if you considered decreasing the PA price wouldn't that make buying adena from RMT not profitable(enough) and intercept income stolen by those focks? Now I don't know the proportions of such sales and if the loss from players who at the moment are legitimately buying PA's for current price would get overcome by the additional income coming from ppl who usually buy adena from RMT OR if after such change adena prices of COL wouldn't drop as well making RMT profitable yet again, but maybe it would be worth to consider/check it out for a test period of I don't know - 2 months maybe ? You can even hide your true intetions and call it a christmas promo/gift from the server crew.
  15. @Pfann 10/10 for laziness when asking a question/requesting help
  16. You won't get rich by crafting mats or setting up manufactures (at least not so basic ones). If you are just starting i suggest you go to ruins to hunt SHIELD SKELETON <-- they have ~70% to spoil 1-2 a.bone (2.2-2.5k adena each) and are very easy to kill with the novice weapon you get from the starting pack. 3-4h of work there and you will get your D weapon..
  17. You dissapointed me my young padawan, but the force is still strong in you
  18. Is there a chance this is your friend that you played with a year ago, before leaving ? There are rumors that he got very unlucky and by an accident he download and launched adrenaline lately :<
  19. IMHO if you want to create really usefulll quest descriptions (I mean I don't see much point in making quest guides of quests that are all over the internet and often with a lot better instruction) you should instead translate the guides telling people how to do all 3 mark quests (required for 2nd prof change) simultaneusly/at the same time. I've never encountered those untill I started playing classic couple months ago and I gota admit they are freaking awesome. Lets you save 50% of your adena and 70% of time
  20. Honestly this isn't that bad of an idea. Well I mean I wouldn't split it into different product categories because it would create great havoc and force players to study/memorize which zone is reserved for what kind of products but what I would l love to see, is splitting trading zone in 3 areas: 1st zone - only sell offers (/vendor) 2nd zone - only buy offers (/buy) 3nd zone - only private manufacture (/dontrememberthisone :f) It would be very easy to memorioze, self explanatory and intuitive. Not sure how much effort would GM's have to put to make such a solution/modification but to a naive guy like me it doesn't look like something too insane to implement.
