  1. Classic core is down, long term. Google translate is your best friend here... However with premium account the staff said you'll have access the servers drop database. That is probably the most important info that got significantly changed since C1-C4.

    Various bugs

I'll just continue in this thread since this is one is minor to moderate. In Trial of the seeker: in the quest log, step 11 "In search of the dark bezoar" is duplicated, resulting in wrong description of the remaining steps (12: return to Terry, 13: return to Dufner).
  3. Options: 16-18 hours limit: (instead of 12) to accomodate those of us, that actually have jobs to attend, but more is hardly beneficial. Minimum level/class transfer: Good idea. This can actually separate "i mean business" form "nah, it's free, why not make zillion alt scammers" Paid in adena: possible (fixed price please), but min lvl is better PA to make it free: ok. For ONE char. Only available for PA: that would probably be the tipping point for me to get PA Taxes from PSs: briliant idea. Seriously, i like it, it would make other town much more alive, and also satisfy those who want to play transport tycoon in L2. Too bad it's unrealistic to code and, duh, there are no CS's and therefore no lords.....yet Dual/PA/multiple PS restriction: Not sure if this is doable (how do you check for an application that is NOT running?). I think level/transfer restriction is enough of a deterrent to making too many shops though. If done by a consumable item (most common), that item should be undroppable, untradable, unmailable, untransferable.
  4. WTF is wrong with you people? How can you argue against offline shop? It is so much convenience with so little impact.... How is offline shop any different than having that same char logged on another computer? Lineage is so old, that you can literally let that dwarf sit on a laptom from the LAST CENTURY. I actually played on one at a time (IBM X20 if you're wondering). Advanteges? - Saving energy and sleep. - Convenience - Allowing access to private store for people that for some reason don't have 15 years old computer around Disadvantages? - Allowing easier access to private store to lazy people. - Allowing easier access to private store to scammers - market competition (because that is obviously a bad thing to some people) - no, it will not ruin, or actually affect the classic experience at all. Getting killed by monsters when sitting idle in town? a) only L2j works that way. b) if you're affraid, no one forces you to do it c) no different than being actually online but afk d) what Draqla said Not being able to cartel and dominate the economy? In lineage? Like:WTF? Who the f' cares? If you want to roleplay a dwarven merchant, Lineage and "Classic hardcore" is really not the place for you to be. If and when we get to a point where there is 1000+ people online at all times, we may discuss why and how to discourage unnecessary shops. Until then CacheSizeMegs=256 or hit Alt plus f'ing P in town, if your computer can't handle it. Also: private stores can be banned from Giran with teleporter and other NPC copied somewhere else, like Giran harbor. I don't mean to be rude, but the arguments of some people are just ridiculous.
  5. Seeing as everyone and their mom suggests/expects a restriction on something (dual box / offline shop / whatever) based on IP adress, let me explain something: There are exactly 4 294 967 296 public IPv4 adresses available to the world. IPv6 has quite a bigger pool, but that is years away from being the standart. Cisco, provider of about 85% of world's networking, traffic-wise, expects 50 billion computers, smartphones, tv's and other devices connected to the interned by the end of 2020. That is 11,6 devices, on average, that will need to share the same IP. There is no way anything can be filtered by IP any more. 2020 is a few years away, but IP sharing has been common since the inception of internet. Odds are your entire household has only one public IP - the router or access point, and all your computers and other devices are hidden behind this one device with single IP adress. There are huge condo's with tens of appartments that share the same internet connection with single IP, there are villages and town where everything is connected through one provider. In fact i work in a billion EUR industrial complex that has all of it's traffic routed through a single proxy server - Google sometimes blocks us off, because there are too many search queries coming from single IP. No sir, no need to worry, nothing will be filtered, allowed or restricted, based solely on IP adress, because nothing can.

Already reported i see. I went back to Hamil in Ivory tower and he gave me another quest - something in sea of spores, but nothing was registered in the quest log.

    Various bugs

After receiving crescent moon bow, when hunting leto lizzardmen, Evil spirit Kadesh is supposed to spawn after collecting 100-150 lizardman's bloods. He doesn't.I killed well over 200 lizzardmen. After each ~ 20-ish bloods collected they disapper with a fanfare sound, but nothing else happens. On a side note: i do not lose any XP when dying. Only thing, that i can think of, that could affect this, is clan luck. Char is Sett, lvl 43 elven scout.

    Test server

That's what i though as well, but then i noticed my silver ra.... i mean elven scout's ( =) ) critical damage is actually WAY lower than twice the base damage, while my PR friend does not seem to suffer from this. I investigated a bit, and it seems Classic uses hybrid of old stats and GoD+ mechanics, namely the third table on this page. That, of course is an assumption, and it would be very well worth testing here, even if someone actually knew how this works on official servers.
  9. While bounty hunter can give you somewhat decent wealth advantage (by selling crap to NPCs, mostly), it probably won't be enough to make a difference unless you fully commit. If you do, you won't be leveling your other chars. Many people will get BH alt eventually, but only when they start crafting (high 40's) and they find they lack speciffic materials. I doubt either option is worth more, than you farming decent spot with your higher level main duo. As for artisan/warsmith, keep in mind that they will make very little money making shots, compared to even the original C1, simply because most people won't be able to afford it. For this exact reason, however, i expect much less competition in crafting gear, so high level warsmith can be a very good source of income later on. Of course, high level bounty hunter will be required to obtain recipes/keys for things like plated leather, which, too, has the potential to bury you in gold. Bottom line: if you can afford to invest as much time and effort into both your main and a dwarf, as the average player invests into only their main, go for it, it will pay off in the long run. If you are happy with playing dwarf as your main, even better. But otherwise, i'd leave it to the true enthusiasts, farm with a dual that best complements your main and find a party that fits both. That's my plan anyways. As a side note, depending on how good or bad the protection will be, the best source of income may or may not be bot griefing.

    Test server

If it's not too much of a hussle, i think it would be nice to make a high rate (second) server with GM shop, buff potions and all those "easy=bad" things to let players try out things like dyes, test skills and such. I ask for this, because Lineage is a very old and very obscure game. At times there were sites like pmfun.com and l2calc.com (and one speciffic that, for the life of me, i can't remember the name of). People put a lot of effort into making these, but much of the game has changed since then. E.g.: how exactly does STR affect crit. dmg? Does anybody know? We could, of course, try these things out on live, but even with 50x rates switching couple of sets of tatoos equals hours or days of grind, with 3x rates it will be next to impossible to try out much of anything... What do you think?
  11. You need to understand, that on live (3x) noone, except very well organised constant parties will use soulshots for PvE, simply because they couldn't pay for themselves. So PvE-wise summoners are stil your best shot, if you have to ask. In PvP, most people WILL use soul/spiritshots, so summoners suck balls in Classic.with basically half the damage output of everyone else.

    Dagger

Well, Classic != C1. Classic is NCsoft's attempt to recreate what little changes they did right, over the years and incorporating them into the old chronicles.
  14. Sett

    Dagger

Well, not technically, but it's not exactly a secret, that STR ~ p.atk. ~ dmg.
  15. Sett

    Dagger

The effect of STR on dagger skill damage OF COURSE WAS official since day one. While lot less than others, dagger skills are still affected by p.atk., and therefore by STR as well. In classic STR is also supposed to slightly raise crit. dmg. modifier (for both skills and regular critical hits). From purely PvP point of view, i doubt raising STR is worth it for daggers, but STR will be your main source of damage in PvE and with a bow.

    Its on!

Well, not to look a horse in the mouth, but, you know, it's still a soon-to-be-wiped beta test.
  17. Take one random who does that. The troll is strong with you.
  18. That is exactly the reason why they shouldn't do it. You know, i'd probably apply too.
  19. One feature change/addition can require several hundred hours or more of testing Large AAA studios have QA teams that outnumber the dev team, usually by a large margin. Any time the code is changed you have 3 possible outcomes: The game is broken, everyone stop working and find out whyThe game MAY be broken, upwards of a hundred people need to be mobilized to retest absolutely everything in the gameJust kidding, there’s only 2 options. Stop dreaming. This an excerpt from a Reddit article i read today. Good stuff, recommended reading for all those "I'm done waiting, goodbye" hotheads. PS: being on a constructive, technical job in power industry, i swear every word he sais about teams, projects, deadlines ... is true.
  20. Uh, i don't think Google translator will be able to deal with that...
  21. Exactly what i said earlier. The problem with L2j is that it acts differently, and you just know it's L2j, even if the features are exactly the same. It's hard to desribe. Kinda like driving BMW with gasoline or diesel engine. One is cruiser, the other is a racer. Everything looks the same, there's not even that big of a difference in speed or accelleration. But to a seasoned driver, they are just different cars. But hey, they're giving us free BMW, and if we can't tell the difference, who cares what engine runs under the hood?
  22. It has been mentioned on several occasion that the server is built on PTS files. That, and you just know L2j when you see it, buggy or not.

    MULTISKILL Idea

Man... If you want high rate/high chronicles/easy stuff in general, don't play on Classic server, the whole point of Classic is that IT IS HARD. It's not quick grind, than happy endgame pvp. It's endless struggle for a place to farm, it's teaming up with other people to be stronger than the other group - or even monsters, it's about the NEED TO COOPERATE to be able to acomplish anything. What you suggested is the exact opposite of all of that, so i am rather possitive this will not be even considered, no mather what logic you misuse do defend it, sorry. Also: fuck you guys, for treating him like that. His idea might be wrong, but he tried to help. Sort of...

Beta 2.0 != Classic 2.0 It's Classic 1.0, hopefully in better shape, aka version 2.
