​Hopefully the NPC text will be translated in some future version. As of now, stick to the description in quest window. It is completely english, and it is accurate afaik. That being said, the NPCs aren't exactly helpful even in english, because, you know, Lineage, and the quests are bad, because, you know, Lineage again. Just follow the guides at PMFUN and you'll be fine.

Since there can be transfer to new server software any minute now, with probable wipe of all characters , hardly anyone plays right now. You can test thing and fool around a bit, but you will have to wait for live start, to have people to play with...

Lol @ the noble and dedicated folk who "spend their time" playing on free server "to make it a better experience". Of course we report those bugs, because we want a better server, but let's cut the crap - we do it because we want to play on better server, because we simply want to play. There is nothing honorable or selfless about it, and nothing to justify but a single word against anyone who actually invested in the project. That being said, i'm out too. Not from the server, not from playing and testing, but from the current beta, because, simply put, there is noone to play with, there's like 10 active people on the server right now, plus some shops. I'm quite sure the admin team has a reason not to launch beta 2 or live or whatever, it's not because they wouldn't want to. Maybe there is a problem, maybe the new assembly is so good, they're preparing live launch already, who knows. For the time being the old beta is still running, and there isn't much reason to shut it down, you can still call a friend or two and play. Or you can play something else, there's a sh*tload of excelent games that came out in the past couple of years, and there's no reason to spend the whole weekend hitting refresh on the forum. PS: can someone point out some key technologies that i should look for in CiV:BE?

THIS is a torrent file for the client. You need to download it using torrent client, like uTorrent and extract it in your usual games folder.. Then you need to download the OBT system and extract it into the folder where you extracted the client (the path to L2 exe should be something like ...games\\Lineage\system\L2.exe). Finally, you need to register OBT account, (which is separate from live) and you are good to go. If you just have trouble unpacking the archive, you probably need to upgrade to something like 7zip (pick the appropriate version for your OS). PS: Sorry my french is a little rusty

Classic is 1/6. Beta is 20*Classic = 20*(1/6) = cca 3,3x. Live will be 3*Classic = 3*(1/6) = 0,5x. But that's for exp, drops are completely redone in Classic.

Thanks, i haven't thought of that. That's pretty much the funtion i had in mind, although it would still be nice to have it available for everyone, and everywhere, rather than only those with translator plugin, but i guess we have more pressing matters at hand =)

​that was one of the many reasons. another reason was becoming a Noble, wich had access to more hunting zones via teleport + noble buff to keep all previous buffs upon death( useful mostly for pvp ). it was also changed later on for being more competitive, since you could eventually get passive and/or trigger skills from your subclasses to your main. ​I know, but tbh that doesn't seem to fit "Classic" very well. All the more reason why we most likely won't see subclasses for quite a while yet.

First there was a heated discussion about foreign players not speaking english. Then, the moment they try, they get immediately berated because their english is not as good as someone else's. ...And is, frankly, very hard to understand. It has occured to me, that google translator works well enough for most foreign languages, and it is also easy to link. I think there even is an API for that. So maybe you could add an option to every post to show automatic translation alongside the original text, so that those less versed in the ways of western tongues can talk to the rest of us. Or, if that is not possible, at least a button that would open the text in new translator window (ctrl+c, ctrl+v is so hard these days *). I think it would go a long way in improving both relationships and, more importantly, understanding between different nations in our little comunity here *No, not hard, but it takes too long. I'm on GPRS connection with terrible signal most of the time i visit forum, and just loading the translator, setting the languages, pasting the text.... takes a lot more time than i care to invest in translating every single post not written in english..

Subclass was a way to give players something to do when they reached endgame level/equip. Since Classic solved that by even lower rates, plus the devs have several chronicles worth of content to throw at the players, i think it will be quite some time, before sublass system becomes part of the Classic.
