Any way you put it, AoE is the fastest way to grind, and also usually the cheapest. If you can't AoE, picking a target that is weak to the element you use gives you usually +20% dmg. That is about as much as empower gives you. The most common weakness is fire. For mages up to level ~45, servitor recharge + master recharge is actually much faster than sitting. Insert BtM. For fighters, having blunt is actually good idea even if monsters are not weak. Since the higher acuracy more than makes up for the lack of crits, when you have next to zero buffs. Only when you can consistently have death whisper, swords get better than blunt. Considering limited equipment, DPS classes are best off playing as physical nukers (with lot of sitting), tanks are just screwed - but almost mandatory for most AoE parties..

What OS do you use? What file system?Also you torrent communication might just be blocked. You may try to download the client using this updater., When finished, just delete start.exe and folders "system" "russian" and "international" or you may end up connecting elsewhere. ​Well, I do. Let's say L2J is something like Renault Thalia: Yes, it has four wheels and a gear stick. Yes, you can do some bodywork and polishing to make it look like a DB9. You can even replace the engine, suspension, and brakes. But even if you replicate every detail, it will still be a Thalia. You will never make a DB9 from Thalia by reverse engineering one. Similarly, you can fix every observable aspect of L2J, fix every bug, modify every feature. But you will never recreate the official server perfectly, it will never feel the same. It's the little things, like sometimes when approaching your target, your character stops just outside of range and won't attack until you manually move closer. Sometimes a skill won't be followed by autoattack. Different debuff land rate mechanics, slightly different combat mechanics in general... The pathfinding just works differently - better, even, but it's not the same. Bottom line is: At the end f the day, I'd rather have an old, rusty Aston Martin, with original 6 liter V12 AM inside, than any polished approximation... And if somebody feels offended by relating off to DB9 and L2J to Thalia, the analogy works just as well for e.g. Gallardo and F458 Italia.

​I honestly tried to read all of that, but it is a little confusing. My guess is you want to improve quest rates to make them worth doing. I hate to break it to you buddy, but it's not gonna happen, for various reasons including: a) some quests are actually worth doing even with 1x Q rates on 3x server, b) the less custom modifications on a server, the better - and this is already modified, in a different way c) it would be a lot of work, to satisfy one player, or even 50 players who care about quests, and that is an optimistic estimate d) The final build of the server is already made and running (in closed betatest). Jeopardising the launch date that is scheduled for next week would be retarded for any reason, let alone this. Melcosoft? ​Because internally Lineage server - and more importantly the comunication with one - looks and works pretty much the same ever since prelude. Since the official files for C4 PTS are out there, running a more or less identical server is not that hard. But no, personally I have nowhere near the skills still required. That being said, Innova is moths away from actually launching it, but obviously when they do, they will have a rather significant advantage with actual support from NCsoft and all of the legit files. Every other "Classic" server i have seen so far is L2j with max 300 players and C4 database- or worse.

There are zero guaranties on official servers as well. The moment they stop making profit - bam. Simce that is the default position for past-time projects, I wouldn't raise my hopes too much. But classic is focused on the road, more that the destination, and you can always move a whole group. Makes little difference if you farm the same spot for hours subconsciously while "hanging out" with friends, whether it's on lvl 28 or 57... There is no finish line. No 3rd class, no chant of victory, no R grade (or whatever), no subclass, no olympiad, hell, not even castle sieges. The most hardcore boss on classic drops "unique" earring that gives bleed resistance. Or was it poison? Yes, losing your karmian to wipe will still hurt, but who cares about luxury stuff?

Well, sometimes we all get transported to that strange kind world, where our nice loving counterparts get replaced by us.

Many experienced players do indeed see something wrong in using L2J, because the internal mechanics don't work as they should (as opposed to individual cosmetics defects observed here on beta). The fact that you can't tell the difference, and claim it's L2J, only shows how little you know about the game. The claim that there is only one server with official files (lol) shows you know even less, considering that you can UTFG to download the entire official C4 PTS and there were literally hundreds of servers using it, few years ago.

In classic, there are exactly ten two quest available to each character that are worth doing, plus maybe mushrooms in elven village if you die a lot (return upon respawn). The rest is just retardedly useless, because you make more cash if you stay and farm, than if you waste time to turn them in. Supposedly they were done this way to prevent bots running them. I don't really see how that was supposed to work. but it discourages players questing allrigh. What were the Koreans thinking?
