In my experience dungeon mobs would always return after a while, but I have indeed heard Snipes are...persistent. Anyway, I pulled DV mobs a while ago near Oren and logged out for 2 hours, when I logged back they were still at the relog location.

Incorrect. They will only return if someone comes close (around 5k range) and stays for about 5mins max. I've been exping without Prefects at the spot for hours. But you can do that for pretty much any mob in the game.
