I would go for egality over all stats: 3x/3x/3x. It's only logical imo. Encourage pvp by setting the penalty to 4% and have more fun.

Hello community I want to point out that the party matching system isn’t being used at this moment. You can say it is only a BETA but I do think some people don’t know how to use it, so here is a short explanation WHY and HOW to use it. WHY? No more useless time wasted shouting in town like a headless chicken. Every player in every town can see your party list and the classes you are looking for. You can set the minimum and maximum level requirements for players that want to join your party. You can see the classes of players entering your party room and pick the best class for your party. You can recruit party members or replacements from the waiting list. HOW? Use the party matching button to open the party matching window. If you are looking for a party, check the list of party rooms. If you find a party that you wish to join, you can enter the party room in the list. If you want to create a party, click the Create Room button. Once you opened your party room, you can click on the names of players in your party to check location of party members, level range, etc. You can also modify your party's title if the initial title needs change (DD, buffer, healer, tank,…) I hope this will help some people, and help improve the party creation on the server once it is LIVE. It has been a while since I have read a decent discussion, but I must admit this is a good one. I'm not going to choose sides or meddle in the argument because I haven't got enough knowledge of Classic although I played the early chronicles. I do have a feeling adena is going to be extremely hard to grind... Nonetheless, I'm reading some interesting facts like partying is a must. I hope many players will read this because that's what L2 is all about; playing together. As for the dwarfs, I really hope people will play them. They are a real asset for a party and if I'm making a group I will include the little bearded one (unless she's female, she will be excluded :p) PS: Stop quoting each other, it's harder to read this topic.

Hello Beta-testers The BETA 2.0 server has passed a full week and the amount of work that has been done is tremendous. (My negative attitude was misplaced...) Therefor I would like to congratulate the team so they can continue their work in making this server work. I see the community is less pessimistic (like me :p) so that’s a good sign. A renewed advertising campaign would also be a good thing once the LIVE version is at hand. Once the date is set, I hope people will try to advertise the website again like before. Regards ~Prom

Hi fellow gamers It has been over 24 hours now and I must say I have some doubts. I see very little people playing and almost everyone is struggling because the massive amount of problems they encounter. I do not question the work the admins are doing, but my faith in the L2 Classic story is almost gone. The report section is worse then before and it's hard to fix them all. Is this a dead end or is there light at the end of this dark tunnel? Regards ~Prom

SWS were never meant to be tankers, they're supporters just like BDs. True, but how many times a party starts with a BD or a SWS who has to tank but can't hold it? Resulting in DD's flaming the healer or shouting n00btank to the poor SWS/BD... I just want to point out that everyone likes to crit the highest or have the biggest damage contribution to a party, but the real beneficial players to a team are the support classes. Therefor I would always choose a tank so there can be no discussion who has to tank and the DD's can perform even better. PS: I wan't to see some other team setups ;-) Make your 9 men party!!

The thing I wanted to state was a party you can use in ANY situation. I do know, Fenrir, it's impossible to have a valid party for everything, but this is what I think is the most usable in any combat action. I do know the pala is a bit weird, but it's the most useless and usefull tank in game. I know I don't make much sense, but I just like to have a hardass tanker in my team. When things go wrong, the pala will do the trick. Nonetheless, I like the suggestions to replace him with an EE. I don't think a SWS is tanky enough to take his place as a complete tanker in any situation. For all the tanks out there, you are needed in every party!!

Hi mates We all have our favorite party composition and it's never the same for different purposes, like siege, raid, pve, pvp,... oae or single target... mage or fighter... Some of us have played L2 throughout multiple chronicles, but I was wondering what 9 player party you would choose for EVERY occasion in classic? Let's say level 50 because I think that's the average level in 6 months. This is my favorite classic team: 1 Bish 1 WC 1 BD 1 SWS 1 Pala 4 Archers Now it's your turn! ~Prom

Since there are no rules you can often read up to 3 different languages: English, Spanish and Russian. I do hope they'll straighten that out soon, because I'm not a fan of the forum as it is atm.

Hi community I would to thank the admins for the work they've done so far. It seems they had a rough start, but they managed to get their hands on a improved geodata. Let's hope they will be able to test it in the upcoming week. What's another test week, considering it will only make the server better. It's only a matter of time before we will play LIVE. I'm absolutely positive we'll receive an announcement soon that will clarify the whole process. In the meantime, let the waiting game begin! Cheers ~Prom

Hi I want to bump this topic, because premium payment is something that has to be right from te start. Once people pay for a game - although it's a private server - you have somehow a responsibility towards them. Since the beta is almost done (just a guesstimation :p) I was wondering if we could have some info regarding: payment methods; monthly contribution; number of premium accounts you can buy (1 PA = 1 box, 2 PA = 2 boxes...). I couldn't have said it better. Classic is unique because it's hardcore without any help from npc or shops or drops or rates... It comes down to teamplay and individual skill. Love or leave it, imho.

First things first: a working server and a large community. But I can't deny the fun I have when I see a dwarfnecro or a destrobish...
