If you hold it upsidedown it actually looks like a Lance so he should be able to throw it

Hello guys, I've been always aware of the de-sync/incorrect character positioning issue in Lineage2 but since I usually played classes with targatable abilities and never rly gave much of a research/thought into it. Now things changed, my CP needed a WL so I've decided to roll with that class and now I'm wondering if there's any real way to fix the de-sync issue or to at least minimalise it's effectc. What I"m talking about is the situation where often even though enemies on your screen seem to be right next to you they don't receive any dmg from your AOE abilities. This is obviously an issue with the fact that you or your enemy is standing in a different place then he appears on your screen. So do you guys have any sort of fix or at least some tips on how to avoid or minimalise this effect or do I simply have to deal with the fact I often will be doing blind stuns and there's nothing I can do about it? Of course I do realise that when I want to hit a particular target with my AOE skills I can simply start with /attack action to prompt my char into running towards my target and then cast skills, but what If i see 3 enemies standing near each other and I want to ensure a triple stun without being screwed by the fact that they/I'm standing in different place then my screen seems to show me?

Hey Sano, could you tell me (give me a link) which program are you using to change the colours and which chronicle format are you using to save the file without breaking it ?

Show me where did I QQ about the server other than the everywhere exisiting flashlights and light sabers ? ;] (Which is a general observation of plenty of players)

Classic oldschool fishing HAPPENING?

Hate that attitude :f Won't fight against it since a great majority of people have similar approach but L2 is far from being a balanced and well-designed game. There are so many spots where you could make some small tweaks that would boost the playing experience to the roof, that it hurts me to even think of how GREAT this game could have been if people would finally understand that ability to MOD servers is a blessing and not a threat :f I remember playing 1 private server where Tyrant totems worked on every kind of weapon. Back then nobody cared enough to check how such things "should work" according to official settings so nobody QQ'ed about it. Gawd playing that Tyrant with totems working on all types of weapons was 1 of my best RPG experiences I had. Constant swaping weapons: bow to attack from the far, swapped for fists to use force blasters/raging force in between bow reuses, then spear to cancel buffs with cancel stick, fists to dps ppl down if they came too close. Did it hurt the game ? Nope, Tyrant was still bad at long range mass PvP, he was still dying in 2 crits from a frenzied destoryer, but fun from playing such versitile class on which you have so many things to do, was freaking insane :f /dream mode_off /nostalgia mode_off I'm done, feel free to flame me now :f -
I would just like to add that I'm pretty impressed how good DEV's (san0) are handling all the trolls and haters on the forum. I personally would ignore 99% of the "QQ nothing works" or "QQ I'm too dumb to understand that something works correctly because my l2 knowledge and skill are non-existant" but DEV's here seem to attempt to answer even those shiet posts giving to players polite and knowledgable responses (sux those are still not enough to overcome the /brain mode_off autopilot mode that many players use nowadays:f)

Honestly it's not even about being competitive but simply being able to do anything ... Nowadays if 8+ level players ride your party, half of your party simply gets perma locked while other half is doing 60%-70% of their regular dmg just because of the level difference alone... You can't even call it a PvP since it's so one sided even though 1 side actually has only 10% lower level.

I would risk saying that server is loosing more people who are for months in the 6x levels spending crap load of time farming and still not being able to do anything due to crap PvP mechanics and level differences than we do because of people "who don't have anything to do after reaching late game" Sorry to me L2 is a PvP game, if after reaching TOP gear (which never happens because of epics and overenchanting) someone gets bored and leaves the server, that just means he picked wrong game. If anything you should be happy that with faster exp gains you will have more enemies to fight against on Mass PvP's and in OLY and due to your overenchanted gear you still get great advantage over more casual players who might get closer to your level, but will never get your gear. I never understood it how some people kept crying how crappy sieges/mass pvps were due to low online, but whenever there's a chance for less hardcore players to catch up and start participating in those, there's a whole new QQ fest :f But I agree on 1 thing, current situation with the EXP inflation is indeed bad, but not because people are getting to higher levels easier <-- it's bad because exactly same ppl who have high levels/gear/advantage are the ones who get the bonuses while non-factorish ppl/less hardcore players are simply falling further behind due to no access to clan hall/castle benefits. This only moves further away the point at which people from outside of TOP allies, cant actually start participating in mass PvP's.

I'm not entirely sure what you tryed to say there mate but guess it doesn't matter. Of course I'm making a meaningless post here, because our DEV's explained already 2 or 3 times this matter but due to lack of basic math skills it's impossible to make some players understand what happened and that nobody lost any experience points Only thing that can be done here is having a good laugh.

Could we bump up this one on the things to fix list? This one is especially painfull and make some classes almost unplayable (i.e. Warlord)

no dual box policy is punishing new players
FinalFen replied to nublyn's topic in General Discussion
That's easily exploitable for people who might change their IP adresses and then create new accounts acting as new players. 1 thing that could be done is 50% cheaper PA on the first month. I mean forcing a player to pay 10 EUR for dualbox when he didn't have the opportunity to check out the server might be very dicsouraging especially when looking at how many fail private classic projects there were. Now I do realise that club is here for over 2 years now so players shouldn't be afraid of the server condition but the truth is that server stability isn't everything Some would like to see how many random parties are being created each day, how many flashlights there are, are there random PK'ers griefing on starting players etc. 10 EURO sounds a bit too high to check such stuff. Of course you could always start with an account, check the server state and then buy PA but ... what's the point of having a lvl 1 human mystic box when you are on lets say 45 archer? Just my 5 cents -
additionaly soulshots aren't working on aoe skills of Warlord <- not sure if it's the same for other aoe DD's

I'm having a blast reading through the posts and seeing how forgotten knowledge simple math equations are nowadays Sometimes you get a feeling that some players brains evaporated during endless grinding sessions ;]

Pretty greedy, but guess there's no other option :f Thanks for fast answer

Hello, Wanted to ask (mostly DEV's) if there is a chance to change e-mail address which is linked to the game account. My friend believes someone might have breached his e-mail account and would like to change it (stop using that e-mail) and at the same time change the e-mail attached to the gaming account to feel safe. Is it possible ? What should he do ? Create a ticket ?

@Kure now that's kind of post I like to read and respond too. You obviously have the same issue as I do of creating a humongous walls of text when trying to explain simple things but sitll like it Generally speaking all of what you said definitely had a lot of common sense and logic but I feel like you missed couple of small details that make big difference 1. Your remind of historical PK fights at the begining of the server missed 1 key point. When you fought those PK wars, you were fighting ppl of similar level and equip. You actually COULD fight them back bringing you a lot of fun because of that. Low lvl PvP without full buff is arguably most fun PvP in the game but this has nothing to do with being raided by 10+ level higher ppl with 1+ equpiment grade penalty. In your example you could fight back, but when you encounter a 60+ b grade twat charging at you (sometimes with boxed SWS for wind song) when you are in the 3x-5x you can't do shiet. This has literally nothing to do with actuall PvP thus generating frustration for some players who can't fight back. It's important to notice here as well to some of us (coming "new players") contraty to what you believe, aren't newbs, some are old veterans with humongous egos who were wrecking enemies on the servers they played in the past because of what a scenario where they are being griefed and literally can't fight back (due to crap L2 level scalling mechanics) multiplies the frustration and QQ habbits 2. Regarding pulling tanks who are getting stunned all of what you said is valid and correct but applies mostly to scenerio where you have an organised CP/Clan party. When it comes to random parties where half don't have even basic english knowledge you can't explain/coordinate such stuff. Additionally random players attitude is crap as well because whenever you attempt to give them a suggestion you get response to stfu and mind own business so suggesting to use UD when you see SK casting lightning is not an option as well :f And last but not least I heavily doubt you can safe your tank during properly made trains. If you are making big trains often your tank can die to 1 volley of attacks :f Even if your bishop manages to pull him out of deaths door, after receiving second stun and another spam of heals, some of mobs gona most likely switch their targets to healer. Been there, done it, didn't work :f 3. Regarding PK in the early server stages. Agreed nowadays it's nowhere near as hard as it was in the past. Game got a lot more soft since those days and it's uncomparably easier to reach respectfull levels now with market being full of different grade equipment, lots of higher players not being active, high prices of basic mats etc. With that said, I still stand by my statement that even though it's a lot easier nowadays, senseless acts of griefing and PKing are hurting the server and in a perfect world they should be prevented in 1 way or another. 4. Regarding PK mechanics being a cool factor during EPIC's I feel like it's more of a enforced behaviour due to crap game design rather than PK making those funnier. Imho all Epics should have their level set to a level that allows MAX Level characters to kill them. I see no real purpose in forcing players to make low level boxes to farm these EPIC's. Ofc the idea of it was to give low level players something to fight for and to catch up (when i.e. selling epic jewlery to high lvl players), but in reality low level randoms/non factors (usually) have no access to EPIC'S since those are being controlled by couple of high level parties where some simply log boxes to kill the actual RAID. I mean if you increased the level of EPIC's anyway people would come on their main, fight against enemies BUT with clan wars. Fights would look similar but instead of low level PK'ing you could actually play your mains without gaining pointless karma. 5. Agreed that having an open world PvP/PK is awesome and would never suggest preventing it. All I would tackle are high level players griefing lower levels. I mean allowing 70 levels to attack 5x has no real purpose in this game. Somebody likes PK ? Np mate go and find ppl on similar level and prove your fighting skills on them, instead of attacking some lowbies who CAN'T kill you even if you DC Wall of text ftw ! gawd ppl will hate me for this (unless they already do :D)

If I may suggest something to some of you without fueling up a flame war, I would say that randomly writing "don't cry" in every post you create, doesn't really bring anything to the discussion nor proves you'r mature enough to pick up the conversation. Some of us opposite to some of "you" outside of spending multiple years on lineage 2, we spent shiet load of time on different games as well. I personally played a lot of MOBA, some other MMORPGS, some shooters and from what I've learned I can say that games are never perfect. They always start as a great idea with crappy solutions. At the begining people love the idea so they are playing without being annoyed too much with the crap part. But as time passes and this great gaming idea starts to become more common and obvious to the players, crap things start to get noticed on a more regular basis. This is the turning point, some games (DEV's) at this point start to listen to community and adjust all of the annoyance/bugs/issues gaining community respect and prolonging the lifecycle of their project. Others shiet on the community not improving the game and focusing to milk down whats left (by i.e. adding some alternative avatars, skins, voice packs). Such games die in convulsions, getting torn apart by the community on forums, in-game chat and any other communication channel. Now L2 is a great example of a game which had a great idea on its merrits. Farming game with a decent crafting system and great approach to the subject of mass PVP. At the start everyone loved it. Nobody care about dumb PvP balance, about needing to press manually every soulshot youuse, about solo necros wrecking havoc against 5 man PP buffed parties. We loved the idea/concept so everyone was happy and continued/started playing the game. But as time passes we got used to what Mass PvP in L2 is. We understand how to play the game, where to farm, how to approach requipment. We stopped focusing on getting to know the game better as most of it is already revealed and well-known and instead people started to notice the everywhere existing crap. So apparently some of the people on forums don't have that big of a gaming experience when it comes to dealing with different products (at least I have such a feeling, but might be wrong), because of what they don't have the sense of what could be improved and instead threat everything as "On official it's like so it HAS to be this way" and there's nothing wrong with such attitude. On the other hand some of us comparing L2 to plenty of products out there have a wide ammount of ideas that would most likely heavily increase gaming experience of Lineage 2 and as a result greatly increase number of players we have on the server. Now as I said 50 times already, I know that nothing is going to change and that we are destined to deal with so many flawed game mechanics but still since sometimes I have some free time at work and because forums are meant to discuss different things, I'm sharing some of the ideas to fill the my time and at the same time to provoke other people to share their IDEAS/OPINIONS. So to sum up above wall-of-text whenever someone is suggesting a solution that would most likely improve the gaming experience, stop spaming "don't cry" and "deal with it, it's classic" but instead share your arguments to why particular mechanic is good and healthy for the game in your opinion or simply don't comment at all if you don't have any constructive arguments. Thanks Lol that's some serious ego and e-pen you got there mate. Anyways, I'm speaking of what people are writing on the forums. Since whenever there's post about vet CP's leaving server or about how some top clans are having problems with gathering 2 cps for some mass PvP's or how some mass PvP's were a complete fail due to sides not being able to gather big enough numbers and no one is calling such posts fakes I feel like that gives a good understanding of the politics on the server. Then again I'm just a newb who never wasted his time zerging underleveld and/or farming parties on the servers he played so I might just know crap in the end.

1. This is a QQ thread - agreed 2. There is something seriously suspicious in what OP said as I don't really believe that someone would waste that much time PK'ing same ppl day after day without any purpose. If I were to guess I would say that OP flamed or killed someone's char on a farming spot he wanted to take and sadly that killed guy was on alt account and now is taking his revenge. I mean I got to lvl 60's just recently while being PK'ed maybe 2-3 times. Yes a lot of tards tryed to stun tanks who were making trains for me, but if I'm correct this thread was about PK'ing 3. I agree that high level idiots stunning lower lvl players during trains is a cancerous behaviour on the server that should be prevented via in-game mechanics. I don't care if it's the same on official or not, because I shiet on official and comparing it to classic club is not an argument to me. But on the other hand I care about this server and most of high levels have no idea of how many new players quitted the game because of dropping weapon/chest armor to stunning griefers (I have at least 3 of such examples on my friendlist and I played only like 1.5month?). Saying that this is a part of the game and if someone is a quitter we don't need it is false as well, because I'm pretty sure that a lot of players who quit after loosing equip to a griefer, actually would reach high 60s or 70s if such thing didn't happen to them. I mean I'm not a quitter but if i.e. i spent all of my wealth on 1 overenchanted weapon and then lost it couple days/week after I would probably say goodbye to the server as well, because let's be realistic, L2 classic club is a good private server but it's good mostly because there aren't any other reliable l2 private classic servers. Classic gameplay (with stuns/debuffs/broken nukers etc) is crappy as fock, from what I understand there aren't many interesting clan wars/battles/mass pvps around, it doesn't bring the nostalgia from old C3-C6 servers. 4. In the end no matter what we say, explain or propose nothing will change so we just have to deal with the fact that cancer life failers are wellcomed and allowed to do anything they want to on L2 private servers :f

Them rage threads. Since 95% of L2 community is whiny as fock (including myself) I'll just say that I'm satisfied with GM's approach to banning people. From what my friend (bot hunter) told me he's reporting bot users quite frequently and and receiving a lot of feedback about his reports being valid and resulting in player bans. I've played on plenty of servers where GM's did Jackshiet to prevent botters and this isn't the case here. My only concerns regarding founders work are all the lightsabers existing on a only 2 year old server. That ammount of +12 demon's staffs and +16 emi bows shouldn't happen imho on a 2 year old server but oh well, at least S grades on C6 update in couple of years will reset that crap :f

Dumbest excuse 2017 I don't deserve punishment because while breaking the rules, in the end I failed to do so (although he probably sold some anyway). He should get punished like every other RMT both for vaiolating the rules and as a prevention method to discourage others You'r example isn't the best, because he "didn't PLAN to sell adena" he actually TRIED to sell adena. So if you wanted to connect it to a real life, he wouldn't get punished for planning a murder but for a fail attempt to murder.someone.

Completely agree with you, with weak stuns nukers would be wrecking everything even harder than they do now, but this was just a QQ thread and as mentioned I just threw couple of ideas of top of my head. Obviously if you change 1 part of the puzzles, you need to change them all as they will never be able to complete the picture again, but I don't want to waste time trying to approach the entire PvP system, as we all know that nobody will customise it with how stubborn and whiny L2 community is when it comes to custom modifications.
-
Don't know man, I feel like quick acquiring and eliminating core targets + kiting in mass PvP has more skill involved then getting 1 target and then using 1 ability (stun) every X seconds while your enemy can simply go afk, as he won't be able to do absolutely anything once he get stunned Generally speaking balancing stun/debuff abilities out is easier than you think: - Lower stun duration to 3-4s - Increase reuse on most stunning ablities by around 30% - Make it impossible to apply a stun when enemy has already a stun effect active (no overriding) With such changes you could keep the 90% land rate. Stuns would still be very strong and usefull but players would actualy have to judge when to use them to benefit the most, instead of spaming whenever off coldown. Just a random idea on top of my head.

That's an interesting piece of knowledge. Thanks
