  1. Good point, I just checked and last year the first event after the summer one was on November 16... Kinda depressing
  2. https://l2classic.club/forum/topic/21604-summer-feast-event-drop-rate-changes/ ...That feeling when you bought tons of event items because you thought they're going to re-add the Cloth Piece, but instead of just not adding it, they double the drop rate so your event item stock gets raped, effectively halving its value. BUT THEN you realize you get double f*cked because you also have a large stock of EAAs which is also going to get destroyed because it's part of event drops and there's absolutely nothing to use them on at this point...
  3. I mean, it's kind of always been this way, at least around here - events are great opportunity for newbies to gear up easily, there's no point in chasing the potential hats endgame rewards (unless you feal really lucky... Or are REALLY into fashion). On the other hand, the rewards are kinda trash without cloth piece meaning the buyout price is low, so it kind of defeats the purpose, but still... If you're newbie, your first event on server should always be at least 90% monetized. Also, I will not miss an opportunity to mention again that the main issue generally and a sin against players is that the box buffer is still PA only.

  5. I can't believe the cloth piece is still not back in... Problem with those greedy whiners is that they won't listen to reasoning, they just see the word 'cloth piece' in drop list and they get triggered. Unfortunately they're also the loudest ones and admins hear loud voices, not arguments. 1) The event is not just about old folks, it's about new folks getting a kickstart. 2) The droprate is an absolute trash on early levels. 3) Due to event being basically non-sense at it's current state (way too hard to get event items with too little reward), the event prices are extremelly low. This + point (2) means newbies are getting almost no kick from it. 4) The official Lineage 2 events used to have massively overpowered drops throughout their entire history. I remember even the old sorta ones like the letter collection events (where you collected words 'LINEAGE', 'NCSOFT' and such) had a chance for a QA drop (and back then it was basically an equivalent of Core lv3). Were people whining back then? Maybe, but NCsoft was wise enough to not listen to them, because: 5) It's not just about the items you get, it's about the hype. Events should be exciting in a first place, to attract people ingame, to give them something to chase for. Cloth Piece was exactly that kind of jackpot that gave people a reason to by hyped about it. Now it's just a stupid grinder, and not necessarily a good one. 6) The bot problem here is virtually nonexistent compared to official servers. Also as @San0 mentioned, the droprate is reduced for <61 lvl mobs. 7) The game is changing, it always has. People are getting butthurt over someone potentially getting A grade set (also *ding ding* the event item drop rate is trash, the cloth piece drop chance is virtually nonexistent, and y'all act like people are going to dress their boxes in DCs) which they had to work harder for. But when you compare it how the time went on official servers, you find many occasions of people getting bent over infinitely worse than than them - for example when attributes were released, essentially all overenchanted D-A grade weapons got outdated overnight. Imagine your only +16 SoM on server suddenly had less kick as AM+0 with few attri stones in it. It's a progess, there's always going to be someone at disadvantage because of it. A lot of stuff is going to be more accessible with Zaken patch (including your almighty Cloth Pieces), yet I don't see anyone protesting against it. I mean, when CDs were introduced, most people who were making floppy disks got out of bussiness, tons of people lost their jobs. There's always a sacrifice to a progress. I'm waiting for a rational arguments why we can't have an exciting event which motivates people to play and moves the game forward, because all I've seen in this thread was crying.
  6. Your english is perfectly fine - yeah, some people have BD/SWS boxed too, but it's definitely not as common. Moreover, the way it works here is that BD and SWS are often required as active chars because they work as "pullers" in AoE parties (the chars who drag the mobs to damage dealers). They're obviously needed in RB and single-target parties as well, so they're both an excellent choice.
  7. Yo welcome. From the chars you mentioned, I definitely recommend either BD or SWS. WC is playable but a lot of people play it as a boxed buffer, so you might have problems looking for party. SWS and BD are welcome in basically all parties.
  8. Definitely +1, the event was obviously built around having this one major reward in it, without it it just doesn't work anymore. The drop rates would have to be thoroughly reworked to actually make sense again. Let's just put it back.
  9. It was actually well thought out, the issue is that admins chickened out after people QQed about the Cloth Piece despite having zero idea how it will be dropping. The problem with these people is that they can't be argued with, they can't be reasoned with, and they absolutely will not stop crying about it, ever. Even if the drop rate for the Cloth Piece was exactly zero percent (=0%), these people would still cry about it simply being on a event drop list. Yeah I've seen this on NA offi, it was pretty well done and I haven't heard anyone really complaining about it being too OP or anything, but I'm not sure how people would accept it here - this is probably the only classic server community has this 'hard way or highway' mentality where anything that helps people a bit or generally makes their life any easier is necessarily evil and 'un-classic'. This tablet situation is a good example - people don't even know how the thing is going to drop it and they lose their minds over the fact that someone outside of the dominant part of server could theoretically get some boost 'for free'.
  10. ^This, so much. And this is actually one of the least generous lists out there, events on official servers regularly give out +10++ guns and RB jewels. I'm fully behind the original event idea as @San0 explained it above - high effort, high reward. Frankly the event doesn't make sense at the current state because the 'high reward' part disappeared while 'high effort' remained. btw. reduce the A grade enchant drop rate - there's too much supply of them with virtually nothing to use them for. With the current event drop rates they're soon going to become worthless papers.
  11. I don't know, I'm not strictly against the beers, but if anything they should be made to have some casting time like normal buff scrolls... I mainly dislike the idea of removing them because it would hurt newbies as well, which already have a hard time leveling up if they don't want to pay for boxed buffers. But either way I think we all can agree that bresses should never be a common drop in events ever again.
  12. Fckin straight, man... It's exactly the kind of freedom that you don't get to appreciate until you experience otherwise. Especially now that summer is starting. Ontopic: @Koll people have a good point here about the prices, since 1€ basically transfers into 2kk, it makes a lot of stuff unsellable. Would it be possible to lower the minimum price to 0.1€?
  13. But that doesn't make sense, you can't do that, that's illegal
  14. The voting seems sketchy tbh, last time I check it was like 22 to 11
  15. The summer event's to-do list: 1) Make the cloak rare 2) Make the cloak accessible at higher quanitity than 1 per entire server (hello rabbits hunt)
  16. I'm all for it unless this change delays the release of Zaken patch by 2 months
  17. I'll just add for the record, that if your sole aim is mana regen, you're probably better off just enchanting any D grade robe set to +6 and wait for zaken patch - such set will give you +6 MP regen (per tick, not %) when standing/standing, so most mana problems you'll have solved.
