Do not count on crafting shots to be a source of any significant income. But you can still let craft sit in town and forget about him for days on end. While BH needs more attention, he will be a much safer bet, whether spoiling crap just to sell it in shop, or spoiling materials, that will later be needed for crafting. Unlike BH, WS can solo to some degree. Both are moderately good at AoE.

Overlords are the number one targets in mass pvp, simply because of how powerfull their AoE skills can be. That being said, in Classic 1.0 I wouldn't expect very much mass PvP, since there are no sieges and hardy any bosses worth fighting over.

making dualbox from same pc w/o PA is easy. But pls dont grant PA with increased exp rate. Its unfair. If u force players to buy PA and take unfair advantages over rest of people they will just prefer to pay for retail server. Easy? How? The live laucher wasn't even released yet. How do you know you will be able to circumvent it?

133% means the difference between levels 60 and 58. Big f.cking deal... That being said, it would be a dangerous precedent and p.ss people off unnecessarily. Then again those would be the people not paying...

Well, nukers will hit hard and they will hit fast, that's for sure. Add in the fact that they hardly need any equipment, while you probably won't have up-to-par jewelry untill late 50s, and you are set for disappointment... Like i said, however, if you know your char's strenghts and weaknese, you'll do fine, because most people don't. PvP is less straight-forward for daggers, than it is for mages or archers, but they are strong enough, trust me. Annoyingly so You might have harder time in pvp than mages or archers, but classic is not about 1v1 anyways, and in mass there should be someone else to distract your enemies long enough for you to deal with them. Also one- or two-shotting half of the server should be enough to satisfy your thirst for blood

Dude (Merlinas) there is no way to "create" a meaningfull database just by observing stuff. That's what Plakis does (kudos) and it's terrible (sorry Plakis ). Way back when, pmfun used spoofer to automatically collect drops info from thousands of players. That is doable, yes. Manually? No way... That being said, word has it premium accounts will have acces to the actual database the server will be using. Let's wait and see

Afaik this is ok. They way dagger skill work they get very little benefits from buffs (except death whisper and dance of fire, but neither passives nor VS), soulshots, or even equipment. That's why you can have Assassin running naked around Dion with nothing but a novice dagger and ww and still twoshot everyone. As for power of the skills, as a rule of thumb you should be able to oneshot green 1xHP mobs, but not white. What i tested few days ago with my SR (so effectively a lvl 35 scout): Getting maingauche over novice dagger gave me some 10% extra damage, VS gave another 10%. This seemed to be consistent with every other server i played on. As for archers, more often than not, monsters will use power shot instead of regular attack, which hurts.bad and is not always immediately apparent. Light armor provides only marginally better p.def., than robes, but provide decent tankiness through evasion ... which does nothing against skills. Ultimate evasion skill does work, however. Since archers don't receive the -crit dmg. bonus from heavy armor, there is little point to wearing it, not even much more p.def., with higher levels of light armor mastery. Additionally, 95% of archer will aim for PL armor set, and 95% of them will not be able to afford it for a very, VERY long time. And 60% of the server will be robes anyway. The real snag about daggers, however, is the fact, that they have no way of closing distances in C1.0, apart from juking behind a corner and hoping the enemy is retarded enough to follow you there. But again, 95% of them will. Yes, after ten years, people are that good at this game.

If, by patch 2.0, you mean the official (Russian or Korean) Classic 2.0 client, then you will probably get lots of errors even if you do manage to launch it. We don't have Claasic 2.0 yet, only the current (second) open beta test is confusingly called beta 2.0, but those are different things. You will need client and system from THIS THREAD to play here on beta.

Been there, seen it, killed it. Err, they did, anyway. They may have years of experience, but they don't know squat about classic. Their drop database is completely broken (some monsters drop according to classic, some drop according to C4, you can view the drops in-game, but there is no way to search for anything, it's trial and error. It is java, and it uses that overkill "bot protection" crap called Smartguard, that blocks everything, including Synergy and volume control on my 10€ Trust keyboard.

What i was trying to say was that you should test stuff the way it will actually be played, if you want to get any relevant information out of it. On classic that means you will be farming without soulshots, severely undergeared and with limited support. You will most certainyl not kill yellow/ping mobs "pretty quickly", at least not with autoattack. Also: I don't see what of my previous post was so hard to understand, aside from the better part of it not being relevant to the topic.

There is a saying in my country, something like "Don't say 'hop' until you jump" or "until you land safely ". EDIT: "Don't count your chicken untill the eggs hatch" is the english version. I'd suggest you try that again, but without soulshots and with novice weapon (or something really cheap, like a grade and a half below your level).

Just for future reference: you need Microsoft Visual C++ redistributable package installed. I have no idea which version though (I have TEN different versions installed from different games).

Duals are actually quite expensive on classic, because you ned SoPs for all of them.

Oh, this again. Noone (except me) said you should get over it. They said they will not do anything about it, because they can't and it doesn't matter. Seriously, if you have a problem with that, then you should see a specialist, not spam the forum. As for rates, adena rate is not experience rate. It is different form each other, different from old chronicles and NOT different in Classic 2.0 (XP is not, only adena rate was raised). IIRC there was a link to Classic experience table, which is ALSO different from old L2.

+1 But until 45 you will play him as nuker with pet recharger. ...Which is good, since you only get recharge at lvl 30, and even that is a rather long grind on classic. Anyways: Warlord AoE party -> nukers AoE party -> any party -> summoners -> archers -> daggers or tyrant -> rest. Yes, that DOES mean a WS grinds solo better than HE.

You should probably read something on the topic, but basically Classic 1.0 is C1 with different, lower drop rates, and some skills added/modified from newer chronicles to balance thing out (read: knight classes got buffed, but still don't quite measure up). One major difference is a bug that removes limit on dyes, so you can +12WIT on a mage, which is kind of a big deal.

You got it a little mixed here... You can try out beta any time, it is runnning. It will be wiped, probably on October 17th. When another beta will start for a week, then it will be wiped again and live server will launch on 24th. It will be Classic 1.0, 2.0 will follow some time in the future. (fingers crossed)
