I tought the same, but first check some videos, olympiads, cause that test was performed against an unequiped target, who knows if that could have changed the result, "exagerated" the difference from front and back

https://4gameforum.com/threads/562128/ this applies to autohits, and from what i noticed after many party-duos with sws it works, very noticeable specially also for triggering "clarity" effect more often If you have a dagger, you can compare the back and front dmg of deadly blow with this table (or better wait for test server) https://4gameforum.com/threads/566669/ or compare with official videos with your similar lvl / conditions. Honestly i dont know if back-attacks with dagger skills should do higher dmg than what they do now or not. Maybe its bugged and it doesnt add much dmg here, its something to research

Its clear that if 3 and 4 is what we believe, we shouldnt be surprised to see epics and sieges/mass pvps dominated exclusively by ranged dds for example (mages mostly).

Hi First of all , this poll is just that, a poll. i dont want to change anything, in fact im very comfortable with class balance atm, evidence of it is the high variety of classes we can see everyday and the constant need of them. Most of all due to the debuff system imho, since the high debuff lr made all classes (including supports) interesting to play as main. So, i want to know what people think about taking any / none of this claims as a base guideline for discussing class balance, specially before all the changes of 2.0. It will be interesting. 1) So there you have 4 options that have been said in the forum multiple times. The examples may vary, but what i want to know is if you agree on taking that "system" as valid. You can check more than one. 2) Define l2 class balance, if you can...

the test on bd and the comparison with the dmg on gladiator is incorrect since both sws and bd have critical dmg reduction passives from their knight heavy armor masteries. Then the difference in levels.. one cant just assume that you should do higher dmg to a 60 lvl target with 1k p.def Vs a target of your level with that same p.def. I mean, not sure if "character level" by itself has something to do with blow dmg

A pp might increase your killing speed, but what allows you to kill non stop maintaining you hp and mp is a 2nd recharge

It is possible to tank and do aoe with 2 pc. Mobs ll be more per train and they wont even touch wl(you can go +12 str). No heals required means higher efficiency of mp of elven elder. I have lvled that way a wl from 58 to 63 in ab and im still doing it with a sws+ee. It is a posibility. If you dont like to drive a tank, in higher lvls i agree with what most ppl said: a 2nd recharger(Se) ll be a key to keep you alive and mantain your mp in order to farm non stop. Se has empo which is a welcome for any nuker who may want to join you. Your skills do more dmg than autohits. Auto hits brake stun from mobs who will stun you, and you regen very little hp from vr. But personaly i use autohits always cause like you said there is a time between reuse times of your skills where you can auto-hit like at least 3 times (with full str it is a good plus dmg)

Until 76 Gladiator is superior in every aspect except aoe. Later on Tyrant learns rush and his own hex, it balances in the end i think. But someone who main this classes can answer you better. Overall both are great for pvp

Tyrant is the warrior with best mobility, and destro with the best endurance. Both work very well in aoe, single farm with pp. In pvp, tyrant is more versatile cause of his agility and range attacks, decent dd using skills. his problem is low debuff resistance unless he has zealot on. Destro has more problems in openfield pvp to catch enemies, unless he has frenzy + zealot on, which ll make you a very strong close range dd trough autohits. Both can stunlock, destro is more dependent of gear (pole, blunt, 2hsword at least) and is more an endgame choice. Also there are less destroyers than tyrants.

It is either the way it is working now, or @Rizos suggestion. I can understand some of my nuker friends that are already bored of being nukers, that want to play something else and can not / dont want to star a new char from 0. And i understand those who did start a new char from 0 and would be unfair for them to get ride of the tiers now. In order to satisfy both, there should be a penalty to pay, it could be lvls cost, higher $ for changing to a higher tier and so on. The question would be how much is that penalty. How much lvls/$ would be enough to pay for the potential xp difference between a higher and a lower tier in each case, how to calculate it in order to be fair with the higher tier as well

But if you dont want blunt, and you are looking for higher dps, atm dagger ll be better option than sword+masteries, and +str dyes instead of +dex dyes too. But overall, aoe with pole is the most efficient way for leveling

Hi 1) I believe that the desire of playing comes from the need of playing with other ppl and enjoy that, instead of soloing, and that includes support classes. I think that free buffs from 24-30 would exclude the few ppl that play support classes and are trying to find group offering just low level basic buffs to get party on that levels.Also they already begin with free top weapon, ss, buffs, and a quest for adquiring full d armor. First impressions are the most important things for ppl that start playing, to decide if they are gonna stay or leave, i agree. Maybe 2.0 will change something with the implementation of academy system 2) Its a core aspect of lineage, wouldnt change that. I have dropped top weapon in 1.3, and i didnt have adena for a new one. But my clan helped me and we crafted a new one. And here i am, just playing, if a player drops his gear, he must have friends/clan to help him recover it 3) Im not so much into politics but there is always a stronger side, and then it splits or other side becomes stronger after allying with other and so on, that makes the history of servers, you cant compete against strongest, try harder, build/join a clan, ally with others, nothing will stay the same forever 4) I think it is a matter of preference, if am not wrong, if it would be lets say +20% xp then no lifers would take much more advantage from it and gap with normal/casual players would be bigger (right?)
