This. You just don't even register an account if you aren't 100% interested in the L2 Classic project. I'd like to see all those people who say they're going to leave because we don't get enough upvotes going to Innova to pay monthly fees or that russian project where you can't even find a party because nobody speaks english You can't lump all players into one group. There are tons of us that are here because there ISN'T an official server for L2C yet (and still might never be). A lot of us don't care about the cost -- we care about the lack of alternatives. When choosing between official and private, on the same level, it's official every time for me. That said, we still don't know if the EU server is coming (as they don't either), and how it's going to be run. The reason I like L2C is because it returns L2 back to how it SHOULD have been, before everything was watered down. I'd gladly play a private server that keeps to the game's roots, over going retail and following the same destructive path L2 has been on. But that has nothing to do with paying -- it's the experience. judging by the last answers from the CMs, it's probably going to be released in autumn, but with a P2P model and crippled rates, the servers will just end up like RU/KR after the first months. Innova has still the chance to fix their product during summer by taking compromises with NCSoft about the rates and eventually the P2P model features. if that doesn't happen, the whole project is going to fail even before starting.

an update once a week would be welcome.

i think people without patience can simply go play on another server.

the fact that the thread reached 50k views on 20 june, and now there's 55k+ on 4 july, should already speak for itself. but sure, you can keep crying about numbers if that pleases you, i honestly couldn't care less. and beside, i'd rather play on a server with 3-4k people online and enjoy the game for what it is without stressing too much, instead of playing with 10k people online and not being able to do shit because every single spot on the world map is filled with too many players.

âOf course you can play elsewhere beside this one, there are plenty of server but they are in Interlude/High Five with Pay to win cash shop for most of them. Don't worry about a population issue there, except few guys who bitching everyday, for remaining other, they are patient and can handle this. I am just telling the truth, there is no need to be snarky. I want this server succeed as much as you do, but you need to be quite delusional thinking that the numbers of people interested in this project are not dropping. There is a limit for this drop and simply this server is not going to work when you have a few hundreds playing it. Check the forum stats, online 34 members and 260 guests. It is 1/3 maybe half of the population comparing to a few weeks ago. I am not going to sugar coat it but the numbers are low. Patience is a great virtue so good luck to you and those 50 people playing it on the first day.  tell me again about numbers. people are not on the forum/server 24/7 simply because they're waiting for Live, and they just browse the forums for news every once and then. those who can't wait can simply gtfo, it's their own choice and there's nothing else to say about it. â âand what makes you think that everyone here is willing to pay a monthly fee just to play with an 11 years old game with obsolete gameplay? get real. RU/KR already had their own massive drops of players with the P2P model, hence why they ended up merging servers. P2P fail aside, the adena/exp rates are so retarded on offi, that when people realized that they had to grind non-stop everyday with crap gear just make 1 level every 3-4 weeks, they simply got discouraged and left. the people that played for nostalgia endured the gameplay for 1-2 months, then they left as well. ask yourself how many people are doing PvP at endgame on offi, considering the exp loss on death. most of the people left on retail are botters running trains 24/7 for farming and selling their shit on ebay, if you take those people out, offi would be a desert as well. i'd rather play on a decent private server with higher rates and possibly working features, rather than pay to play on offi with crippled rates. but that's just me. those who really wanted to play on offi already moved to L2C JP. the only downpoint is that beside ping, they ban foreign players if they get caught speaking english in world chat. and ofc, there's also waves of bots along with a P2W shop on JP.

the problem is that phantom summonners, from my point of view, are better suited for PvE rather than PvP simply because Hex cubic helps mostly in fighters groups for farming, while warlocks can help in both situations due to the Queen's Blessing buff for fighters in PvE/vP, and the paralyze cubic is always a nice addition for PvP. don't get me wrong thou, PS would be fine in PvP too, i just prefer paralyze cubic over stun cubic. first of all, gladi has already stun on sonic blaster in 1.0, so go get some reliable infos before posting. secondly, even if WL doesn't have the ranged stun in 1.0, he still has the other AoE stuns. add the Destroyer's stun, Dark Avenger's stun, and anything that gets in close range will end up getting stunlocked to death. in 2.0, WL will be on equal terms with Gladiators PvP-wise. beside, with EE's Resist Shock and Lionheart, it's unlikely that 3 out of 9 people will ever get stunned in PvP, and even the other 6 still have some chance to resist stun. BP/EE/WC can eventually sleep the enemy's healers/casters if needed. SWS can manage to block healers/casters alone by himself too, since he just has to get in range and use silence+arrest. otherwise, SWS/BD/DA can just go and slow/root the enemy, while the other fighters in group will do the killing. with a setup like this one, you can't escape.

robe would work in any situation PvE-wise, simply because it gives you enough mana to buff yourself/your group along with a decent MP pool for spells. with a 2h mage blunt, you can just play like a mage with debuffs and drain spells in solo PvE. since with blunts you won't loose your stun skill, you could just use stun in group PvE instead of the drain spells in order to save mana for debuffs. it's probably one of the few buffers that can still exp alone anywhere even after lv40, while others might be forced to exp only where there's undead monsters.

actually i think Dion is probably the best area for RBs at low levels. there's plenty of them at execution ground, cruma marshland and partisan, and there should be around 3-4 RBs per single area. issues may rise later on with lv50+ bosses due to gear limitation, but for that people just need to make organized multiple groups.
-
first of all, those who played L2 before already know how to make adena, so getting gear won't be a problem for them. secondly, if people want to have competitive clans, they'll have to get skills too. and to get clan skills guess what you need: items from RBs. the drop rate of items itself doesn't matter, since if people will keep farming RBs on daily basis, be it common or epics, they'll get what they need eventually in due time. but if it's all "delusional" for you, then simply don't bother about it. SWS were never meant to be tankers, they're supporters just like BDs. However, since SWS will get a silence skill in classic, they might actually be a worse pain in the ass for healers and/or casters in general compared to what tanks can do, especially if you get rooted right after getting silenced.

there's no such a thing as a party that works for every single situation, simply because PvE is PvE, and PvP is PvP. every single class has its own utility, some are better at PvP, some at PvE, others at making adena. you can't possibly have a party that works in both situations, simply because if i have to take PvE as an example, a party without a proper tank and a proper healer will get rekt by raid bosses anytime. same thing applies to a PvP party without a proper healer and proper dpsers, they'll just get rekt by other groups if their class setup is wrong to begin with. You really think you will do a lot of RBs on Classic? people playing in top clans will for sure. i myself am not a fan of PvE, but i'll do RBs if i have the chance to get gear faster, instead of wasting my time gathering materials/crafting.

i'll just say that it all depends on multiple factors. first of all, any class can solo up to lv40. after the class change, some of the buffers might actually want to get a party, since they won't be able to rely on spells anymore like pre-40 levels, especially when mobs will have higher stats along with higher hp in some cases. for fighters/casters changes nothing gameplay-wise after lv40, but with "limited" gear they'll have a hard time soloing until lv50, and without buffs it's just going to be a struggle between hp/mp regen. and that's about "soloing". then ofc, there's classes that are more suited for fast leveling compared to others. usually all those who can wield a spear or use AoE spells have it easier, since they can just aggro entire areas and kill a train of mobs. however, it's a setup that usually requires a party in order to work properly, be it for buffs, heals and/or extra damage, so it doesn't really relate to "soloing" unless you're alone by yourself with a box buffer.

i see, then i guess few people will be running in C grade during the first months, and very few will have a B weapon. also, wearing mixed B/C parts might not even be worth it due to the loss of the C armor set bonuses. it also explains why there's the high demand of parties after lv40, because killing mobs lv50 with "average" people in D grade surely will not be a walk in the park. apparently they nerfed the luxury shop in classic, because i remember that there was low~mid C stuff even at common vendors, along with top C and low~top B grade at luxury, but i suppose those items were added later on around the time of Hellbound. can't remember very well, as there's been tons of changes during the years in-between HB, Gracia, Freya and H5, but thx anyway for the clarification.

more security is always welcome. nowdays every mmo has pins.
-
Yeah, no... Afaik, only Keshamberk, Great sword (?) and Sword of Valhalla can be obtained in C1.0, and mixed low B armor pieces, but no sets. And certainly no top B*. Also i think there will be a lot more actual PvP before 2nd class transfer, than after that, never mind 50ish levels, After that, people will be too afraid to lose their precious XP's. Just my opinion though *I know you didn't say that, i just have very low confidence in other people understanding too, so this is my attempt at preventing confusion and a flood of stupid questions i think i've read somewhere that there's no set bonuses applied on B armor sets, but low B grade gear should still be available at giran's luxury shop, if they didn't change it in classic: http://lineage.pmfun.com/list/lux stuff like avadon/zubei should still be there along with all the other low B grade weapons, that will be "top"( as there's nothing higher in 1.0 afaik ) until future patches. as for PvP, it will happen at any level probably, the only downside of it is that people that prefer to pvp will have to grind eventually for days in order to regain the lost exp, or just for the sake of not de-leveling. people without a clan will probably end up playing as a PK, or PvE until they get bored.
-
lv 52 will probably be the main goal for all the people that want to pvp at endgame, since it will give access to the current "top" B grade gear. going further will eventually give some updated skills, perhaps even some new skill around lv52~55. not sure if people will be able to go beyond lv58 thou, considering the exp curves.
-
all the people saying that they can't wait anymore and will leave, will probably be the first ones trying to enter the server when we'll go Live. guaranteed.
-
it's not guaranteed it will open during fall( if it will ever open ), and beside not everyone is willing to pay to play for an 11 years old game, even less when there's other games coming out as well. however, if a part of ru/br kids manage to gtfo from here, and move to that other server, i wouldn't mind at all. ey bitchy come and suck my big dick i will cum in ur mouth ok bro? no, but u can do me a favor: fuck off. you're a perfect example of retarded kid that should just get the fuck out of here, since you're nothing but a worthless shit seeking for attention. you got already banned 2 times, and i guess you'll get banned again. in the meantime, enjoy your stay in my block list, dumbass.

yeah yeah Official l2c have only Innova. They take it from Innova on a leasehold basis. And there are some special conditions if you want to play there. You pay only once for your acc and play - year, two, three, noone cares. We shall see. They already announced that they will open in August, the day will soon be dedided. While Innova has Age of War, they will have Classic 1.0. When Innova has Classic 3.0, they will have v.2.0. (Age of war), and so on.. There will not be any OBT - they also announced, because there is no need in OBT, it will be off client! first of all, they claim to have OFF files too, wich is just bullshit for the simple fact that there's no way for private servers to get their hands on offi files, hence why p.servers have been usually emulating clients since ages. anyone else believing otherwise is just delusional. then, their website is for the 95% russian, with only a secondary english webpage and an english language subforum. i sure as hell will not play on a russian server, nor will anyone else outside the soviet union, unless they understand cyrillic. and lastly, they say they will start with a Live version right away, but there's no guaranteed that their version will be working fine. and the fact of avoiding OBTs is just another bullshit, simply because if you launch a server without even testing its stability first, it's eventually going to give more troubles than anything else. even official servers of ANY videogame have always had open betas before Live versions, so a private server going straight to Live while skipping OBT is just going to fail before even starting. L2C Talking Island is truly international( to the point that we'll need forum rules to avoid people using 934857923485 different languages ), we got our bugs and issues related to the client, but at least the admins are working to fix their stuff, even if it's done slowly. and you will not have to pay anything to play with just one accaunt. the only downside here, except for the current known issues, is that the NPCs html text is in russian, but at least the quest infos are in english.

because waiting for an announcement is too hard, right.

to resume the current situation: beside the fact that it's not guaranteed, because it's all speculations, this was taken straight from that page: i sure as hell will not pay a monthly fee to play with a 11 years old game, especially when there's other mmos too coming up after summer. in the end, it will all depend on the payment model Innova will choose. if they'll make it F2P with optional subscription for extra features, that will probably kill every other private Classic project, just like what happened with Aion when it turned F2P. the only downside of F2P is that usually it comes around with P2W stuff later on, but that's a given for every publisher that has to mantain their servers. as for L2C Talking Island: many people are not playing at the moment simply because most of the stuff has been already tested. beside, knowing that there's also a wipe incoming, it would be pointless to keep playing further when people already checked what they had to. that's why almost everyone is just waiting and checking the forums every once and then.

there's lot of bugs that are known already, at this point i guess it's all a matter of time for getting everything fixed. what i'm wondering at the moment is: RU got already the next patch, will we stick with 1.0 or eventually play straight with the updated patch? i'm asking because in the second case, there should be a further boost in some rates on offi, so i'd like to know how the rates will be handled here regarding the next patch. i wouldn't mind starting with 1.0 anyway, since probably updating the client with the new patch would require more work to do, and therefore more delays.
